@ginadavidsonlbc @overlandertheb1 I think the root of the problem is that Joe Public now has zero trust in the integrity (or lack of it) or the judgement (or complete lack of it) of political parties (all of them btw) and how they pick their candidates. We want serious people, not unqualified lackies.

@overlandertheb1 The overall impression - on here - is that folk hate PR of any kind as it generally leads to coalition/partnerships and rather than accept that as a normal outcome, the idea of working with political opponents is beyond the pale.

The contempt on here for the political system in Scotland is remarkable - especially the idea that regional list MSPs are somehow not legitimate and folk “sneak in” to Holyrood this way.
