"I was not born yesterday" I told my mum, but she told me I actually was. For decades I had celebrated my birthday on 14 May, but quite late in life my mum told me that I had the wrong birthdate. My birthdate was accidentally swapped for the birthdate of a baby born the day after me in a small village in Punjab, India. Which was unfortunate because on the wrong birthdate several other bad Satnam Singhs were born and their bad deeds would follow and haunt me to this day (I spent a decade on the US no fly list). I was literally born under the wrong stars. Mum: 1. Me: 0. Somewhere out there, the other Satnam Singh wondering why his life has been suspiciously smooth: 1.

This is partly because many Americans still like to believe that journalists are a kind of priestly caste, with a higher calling; in Britain they have traditionally been seen as disfunctional larrikins; mischievous, shit-stirring chancers, somewhat beneath the salt. Depictions is US and UK films generally divide this way. I would be disappointed if British journos didn't nick the booze.
Queen Bee@KingBobIIV

Seeing a clear divide between Americans and British on this matter. The majority of British, me included, feel that they "bought and paid for a ticket, which included the wine, nobody died, stiff upper lip, waste not want not, anyone want to swap bubbley for the red?" And the Americans that feel that nicking a few bottles of vino is more of a crime than the assassination attempt.

@sallywf @tenstorrent @jimkxa @JasminaVas Utterly insane. Question: on their website, a BlackHole galaxy server is listed as having 32x BlackHole chips, but that doesn't track with this line from the article: "It runs on four new BlackHole-generation Galaxy servers (256 Tenstorrent BlackHole chips)." Which is correct?
