Pakistan is officially a debt slave. Pakistan has all the gas and petrol right next door, at a near free cost, but it will not buy from Iran because it might make the debt masters unhappy. So they keep begging for the Straight of Hormuz to open, even though they literally don’t need it to be open, they are simply too coward to make a simple decision for the interest of ordinary Pakistanis. Afghanistan simply buys oil and gas from Iran, no issues, and America can keep barking with threats, but it doesn’t bother a people who place the interest of its people above the interest of America and Israel.
