Many organizations have come and gone over the years, especially those built during periods defined by hype and mania. The @squiggleDAO formed permissionlessly to formally build a community around the Chromie Squiggle and remarkably is not only still around but played a major role in the MoMA’s recent additions. They have hosted events and stewarded my work with care, respect, appreciation and conviction, and I’m grateful to @NiftyFiftyETH and @Sam12_23 as well all every one of the individual members for being a part of it. Proud of the team’s accomplishments, and looking forward to seeing what their continued advocacy for the Squig brings to the community in 2026 and beyond.

Today marks a historic milestone for the Chromie Squiggle Collection, Snowfro, SquiggleDAO, and the entire on-chain generative art community. The MoMA (@MuseumModernArt ) in New York has officially added a Full Set of Chromie Squiggles to its permanent collection!🎉 moma.org/artists/140754… The enduring significance of Chromie Squiggles itself, Snowfro’s pioneering exploration of code as artistic medium, is what ultimately made this moment possible. We’re grateful for the generosity of collectors across the ecosystem, with special thanks to @kukulabanze & @Noahbolanowski at @1OF1_art , and all donors who contributed Squiggles to help bring this work into MoMA’s collection: @VonMises14 @gmoneyNFT @jdh @ArtOnBlockchain, @kukulabanze and an Anonymous Collector.
