@Aella_Girl It's not torture, or even anywhere near it. But you will have 72 hour stretches every now and then when you + your spouse have had about 4 hours of sleep a night, and it's good in those moments to take a breather on calling divorce attorneys,

This reminds me of the best advice I got about having babies: No big decisions or statements of certainty until the *youngest* is well over two. No divorce, no quitting work forever, no deciding you hate motherhood and going on public record to say so (yikes!) When you have toddlers around, no one is sleeping, everyone is drowning, and it will *feel* terrible many days. Mostly for moms, which, like it or not, have to carry much of the physical and emotional burden those early years. But once they’re all out of diapers, you’re not nap trapped, they can make themselves a snack, and you consistently sleep through the night? The light comes back. I wish more moms were supported and gently guided in those hard early years vs exploited for clicks and quotes. It gets so much better!

There’s this thing I think about quite often, and it’s the level of skill required in order to understand how good the best in the world at that skill are. I watch this video and I can feel that I don’t truly understand what I’m seeing. I’m not at that level.

I really want more kids, and God willing we'll have at least 4, but already having young children + pregnancy/breastfeeding + the normal wear and tear on the body and endocrine system as you head toward 40 (and beyond) is a lot

@clairevo @webdevMason SAME. Historic age gaps have been 4y+. We were not meant to do this 2 under 2 thing!

@webdevMason I just had my 3rd in my early 40s with a big ol age gap and it was the best pregnancy and feels like the best babyhoods. Back to back toddler/babies were much harder on everyone than my geriatric (!!!!) pregnancy
