VAR is getting ridiculous. If the referee doesn’t book Paredes, VAR can’t intervene and Embolo stays on the pitch. Because Paredes was shown a yellow, VAR suddenly has jurisdiction and Embolo gets sent off. The exact same incident can produce two completely different outcomes depending on whether the ref flashes a card first. That’s not justice—that’s a loophole.

After a VAR review, Embolo is sent off with his second yellow for simulation 🟥

Breel Embolo was visibly emotional after receiving a second yellow card for simulation and being sent off

Before England’s goal in minute 45+2 against Norway, the sensor in the Connected Ball showed no peak in the 'heartbeat of the ball' when in the air, and therefore no evidence that the ball touched the overhead wire and changed the movement of the ball.
