As some of you know my governance proposal has been accepted so Bouncer is going open source. 🔓
I'm not just flipping the switch though, I'm taking the time to get everything right. Been running the whole codebase through review, hardening the security-sensitive parts, and squashing bugs before the repo goes public. Rather ship it clean than fast.
It'll be released under AGPL-3.0. this week.

This is exactly why Web3 gaming lost people's trust. A $100+ NFT mint should raise red flags.
The game isn't fully released.
It's building on a dead chain with limited gaming activity and liquidity.
And it's competing in one of the toughest genres in mobile gaming.

My favourite Web3 builders aren’t the ones announcing a “massive milestone” every other week.
They’re the ones who explain what changed, why it matters, and what still needs work.
That honesty builds far more trust over time.

Did you know that two aces, the best starting hand in Texas Hold’em, have only around an 88% chance of beating the worst starting hand, a seven and a two?
Even in one of poker’s most lopsided matchups, the weaker hand still wins more than 1 in 10 times.
That isn’t bad game design. It’s part of what makes poker compelling.
I think Web3 games need more controlled variance.
Skill, strategy and stronger assets should improve your chances, but they shouldn’t make the outcome inevitable.
Less experienced players need enough hope to believe they can still pull off an upset.
@PlantsvsZombies Heroes is one of the best Web2 examples I’ve seen. It introduces enough luck to create unpredictable, memorable moments without making skill feel irrelevant.
The goal isn’t randomness.
It’s uncertainty.
Anyone got any examples of blockchain games that already get this balance right?
