🔥 MUTOBO is all about joy! Former FDLR members who have completed their training are celebrating the new journey they have begun. They were warmly welcomed back by their country 🇷🇼, received civic education and training, and are now starting a new chapter of life. Tonight in Mutobo, they spent the evening dancing and celebrating together with Maj Gen (Rtd) Jacques Nziza, marking an important step as they reintegrate into Rwandan society. Rwanda continues to demonstrate that peace, unity, and reconciliation are possible. ✨🇷🇼 #Rwanda #Mutobo #UnityAndReconciliation

Rwandan peacekeepers conducted a medical outreach at Bimbo Women's Prison in the outskirts of Bangui City, responding to a request from prison authorities for support through the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA). The outreach focused on general consultations, including specialised services in stomatology and ophthalmology. Essential medicines were also distributed, easing pain and restoring a sense of wellbeing among the women. tinyurl.com/bezu7mrx ============================= Ingabo z' u Rwanda ziri mu butumwa bw' amahoro muri Santarafurika, Batayo ya 1  zakoze igikorwa cyo kuvura abagororwa muri Gereza y’Abagore ya Bimbo iri mu nkengero z’Umujyi wa Bangui. We were pleased to recieve the Inspector General of Rwanda National Police @Rwandapolice Commissioner General Felix Namuhoranye, who during his working visit to Kenya spared time to pay a courtesy visit to the Rwanda High Commission in Nairobi. Team @RwandaInKenya with whom he had a meet and great commended the IGP for making time to visit the Embassy despite a very tight schedule and back-to-back engagements during his working visit.

Powering progress, why Rwanda needs a clear path for solar investor. Rwanda’s brand is built on efficiency. Thanks to the Rwanda Development Board, the country is a global case study in how to make doing business easy. Yet, in the critical sector of renewable energy, a gap is emerging between our national ambitions and the institutional "green light" investors need to move forward. The challenge is structural, unlike opening a retail business, generating power requires a handshake with the national grid. Investors are ready, but they are asking a fundamental question: How do we begin? Currently, the answer is often a waiting game. The numbers tell a compelling story. Rwanda currently imports roughly 105MW per day to bridge the gap . Meanwhile, investors have proposed solar projects capable of generating 400MW; nearly four times that deficit. To an outside investor, the logic is hard to square, why import power when the private sector is knocking on the door with a domestic solution? Rwanda’s energy sector requires clear and coordinated institutional communication to maintain investor confidence, particularly in renewable energy. While most sectors allow investors to operate without public tenders, electricity generation involves supplying power to the national grid, requiring structured engagement frameworks such as Calls for Proposals or PPP arrangements. When investors are ready to mobilize significant financing, yet no clear pathway is communicated, uncertainty may arise. Transparent guidance on policy direction, timelines, and technical considerations strengthens credibility and professionalism. Coordinated responses between Rwanda Development Board and Rwanda Energy Group would help ensure private investment contributes effectively to energy security, climate resilience, and sustainable economic growth. At the recent Government Retreat, the message from the top was clear: indecisiveness is a form of mediocrity that Rwanda cannot afford. When institutions lack "ownership" of a problem, the whole country pays the price in the form of delayed productivity and dampened investor confidence. We don’t need to abandon careful planning or grid stability checks. We do, however, need transparent communication. If a 400MW project doesn't fit the current sequence, the investor deserves a technical explanation and a future timeline, not a bureaucratic shrug. To maintain our status as a regional leader in green growth, we must harmonize the coordination between the RDB and all sectors. By providing a predictable "rules of the road" for solar energy, Rwanda can turn private capital into public power, ensuring that our energy supply is as reliable as our reputation for doing business. @RDBrwanda @RwandaInfra @reg_rwanda @EnvironmentRw
