Today, Rwandan peacekeepers ( Rwanda level 2+ Hospital and RWABG VIII) serving under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) provided free medical services to more than 410 internally displaced persons (IDPs) living in the Gobolo 1 IDP camp in Bria, Central African Republic. Sixty former Rwanda Patriotic Army (RPA-Inkotanyi) combatants who were injured during the Liberation Struggle completed a two-day tour of key historical liberation sites aimed at honoring their sacrifice and preserving the history of Rwanda’s liberation campaign. The tour was organized by Rwanda Demobilisation and Reintegration Commission. Ce lundi 25 mai 2026, le Coordonnateur politique de l’AFC-M23, Corneille Nangaa, accompagné de ses deux adjoints ainsi que du gouverneur du Nord-Kivu, Bahati Musanga Erasto, a effectué une visite au centre de prise en charge et de quarantaine mis en place dans le cadre de la lutte contre la maladie à virus Ebola dans les zones libérées. Cette descente sur terrain avait pour objectif d’évaluer le fonctionnement des structures sanitaires ainsi que l’efficacité des dispositifs déployés pour contenir la propagation de l’épidémie. Au cours de cette visite, les autorités de l’AFC-M23 ont inspecté les installations dédiées à l’isolement des cas suspects, à la prise en charge des patients ainsi qu’aux opérations de prévention et de surveillance sanitaire. Sur place, les équipes médicales poursuivent les activités de sensibilisation, de suivi et de traitement afin de renforcer efficacement la riposte contre cette maladie. Cette visite témoigne de l’engagement et des efforts consentis pour améliorer les capacités d’intervention sanitaire et garantir une meilleure protection des populations face à la menace de l’épidémie d’Ebola dans les zones libérées.
