@SamNick06 Yeah, the same is true for women. But we can only work to fix ourselves. I think a lot of people expect the opposite sex to fix them or help with their healing. It's simply better to focus on your own sins and not expect anything from the opposite sex.

The Orthodox dating discourse has been interesting. I mostly side with the men on this issue, but the behaviour of a lot of men in response to these Orthodox women has been shameful and pathetic. What is the point of pointing out hypocrisy when you yourself, in the process, act like an emotional woman? We are cooked.

Exactly. In the Church, almost no one calls out religious women, and as a result, they don’t repent for their mistakes and end up considering themselves morally superior to men.

I have a question for the folks saying we shouldn’t even comment on the woman who was found to be sending her lewd photos and messages to young men while publicly shaming them for looking at such material. How are women supposed to learn repentance and humility if everything they do is excused and nothing is ever their fault? Why does everyone feel so comfortable shaming men for bad behavior, but everyone is terrified to shame women for it?
