In November last year, members of the Zuma family reported the matter to the police, naming Zuma-Sambudla, Jacob Zuma’s friend Siphokazi Xuma, and Blessing Khoza as the main recruiters. The authorities have interviewed most of the family members – and now, the men as they’ve returned. They have the same evidence we have – and more. The Hawks have the statements and the multiple messages between the men, their families and the alleged recruiters. So, why is this investigation taking so long? To date, nobody has been charged. One man remains hospitalised in Moscow. The two men from Botswana are still missing, including Kitso’s son. #CarteBlanche @macmoleli

Canadian doctor Ben Thompson tells the story of a doctor in Gaza who was forced to strip naked and stand for two days by Israeli occupation forces, urinating, and deficating where he stood. He was only allowed then to treat his patients while naked.

In a discussion with @michaeljswalker on Friday, I said that Trump was being presented options to strike civilian infrastructure in Iran. The aim would be to cripple Iran’s economy and to make it harder for Iran to persist in the war. I explained that hitting Iran’s critical infrastructure might shorten the war, but it would also intensify it. For that reason, that overall damage done to region and the global economy could end up being far worse during a shorter war. If Trump hits a major power plant, Iran will respond by hitting utilities in the Gulf states and Israel—including power plants and desalination facilities—and will count on the fact that it has to hit fewer targets to have a bigger impact. Iran has nearly 500 power plants, Israel has around 50. The largest Iranian plant, the Damavand Combined Cycle plant, accounts for about 4% of Iran’s total capacity. Israel’s largest plant, Orot Rabin, accounts for 20% of electricity production. The fact that a US president is posting a message like this on social media represents a total breakdown in the systems that are meant to ensure the US fights wars intelligently and judiciously. The commander in chief is not of sound mind, no one in his cabinet is willing to admit it, and we are being pushed towards the edge of an abyss.

I have a friend in Cuba and what they just reported should end careers in Washington. Every single patient on a ventilator in their hospital died tonight. The power went out. The ventilators stopped. This isn't a rare incident anymore. Cuba's grid has collapsed 3 times THIS MONTH. The hospital staff told them they've had more emergency deaths in the last 30 days than in all of last year combined. A patient with leukemia at a Havana hospital told reporters: "Without fuel or affordable transportation, life has only gotten harder. We are fighting every day." NICU babies are on bare minimum power right now. Dialysis patients are playing Russian roulette with every blackout. Cuba has received ZERO oil in 3 months. That's not a shortage. That's a blockade. The US blocked a Russian rescue mission — 730,000 barrels of oil heading to Cuba — turned it away. Then the official story went: "We're sending $6 million in humanitarian aid." $6 million in aid. 930,000 barrels of oil blocked. You can't fix ventilators with $6 million when the grid is dark. And Trump's own words from March 6, 2026: "Cuba will fall. After 50 years, this is the cherry on top of the cake." The people dying in hospitals tonight are his cherry on top. I'll keep you updated. Turn on notifications. 🚨

Former Reuters bureau chief who lost his job and is now struggling to survive as a taxi driver: "In my previous jobs, I interviewed prime ministers and CEOs (...) We are all improvising, all one broken transmission or missed paycheck away from something even worse (...) in the United States, more than 10,000 journalists lost their jobs between 2022 and 2024 (...) Google, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok have gobbled up the advertising dollars, and campy 30-second videos by influencers now deliver what passes for news on social media (...) my family (...) flew to Italy, where they could live rent-free in a family member’s home (...) After I said goodbye to them, I wept uncontrollably in the airport parking lot, not knowing when I would see them again (...) I trust an app to buy me another day"

In 1973, the oil embargo lasted 5m & caused a decade of stagflation. The world was not globalized & things were sourced locally. 1) Today the ENERGY CONTENT of products around you is much much higher than 1973. 2) The West has too much DEBT so impossible to fight stagflation.

Just watched the video of the Iranian woman filming a US-Israeli double tap strike that would claim her life. The fear in her voice is palpable but she does not stutter when she declares her testament of faith - she chose to spend her final and terrifying moments, committing herself to her faith. Her voice, its tremble and strength, brought me to tears. For the past 3 years, we have seen so much similar footage come out of Gaza, out of Lebanon - last moments caught on camera, last moments drenched in fear, resistance and a clinging to God. You don’t have to be a person of faith - I don’t even think you need to like religion, or Islam - to understand the profundity of what we are witnessing in these moments. These are not inevitable deaths, they are engineered. And what we are witnessing, over and over again, are human beings in their final moments - at their most vulnerable, most alone - making one last act of defiance against a world that has decided they are not worthy of continuing to live.

Agree - the number of leftists and Muslims and just apolitical folks I meet who now love Carlson and say they’d be willing to vote for him for president is off the charts. Democrats and liberals and ‘progressives against Palestine’ really left a lane wide open for him, as they did for Trump in 2016 and again in 2024.
Chris Sosa@ChrisSosa

Tucker Carlson is one of the most talented figures in all political media. Like early Trump, he makes easy fools of his critics by telling truths they won't. And also like Trump, he is a dangerous con man. Democrats can find a moral center fast or get ready for his inauguration.

Trump and Israel killed Parastesh in Iran. She wasn’t a fighter. She was a pharmacist, a University of Tehran graduate — a healer, not a combatant. Trump and Israel dropped bombs on her pharmacy, murdering her. This isn’t “liberation.” It’s terrorism.

She climbed 180 feet into a 1,000-year-old redwood—and refused to come down. In December 1997, Julia “Butterfly” Hill stepped onto two small wooden platforms high in a tree called Luna. What was meant to be a short protest became 738 days of isolation, endurance, and defiance. No walls. No heat. Just sky. She survived 90 mph El Niño winds, freezing rain, and constant harassment from loggers below. Supplies were pulled up by rope. Sleep came in fragments. Every day was a test of how long one person could hold their ground. But she stayed. Not just for a tree—but for what it stood for: ancient life, fragile ecosystems, and the power of refusing to move. After more than two years, it worked. A $50,000 agreement with Pacific Lumber was reached, protecting Luna and a 200-foot buffer zone from logging. One woman. One tree. And a line that wouldn’t be crossed. #archaeohistories
