Mystery surrounds why two West Ham directors were terminated then re-appointed this week to parent company WH Holding Ltd. David Sullivan Jnr and Jiri Svarc (a Daniel Kretinsky appointee) were terminated on 19 Jan and re-appointed on 20 Jan companies house documents reveal. It may just be a simple admin issue. Last month on 19 December 2025 West Ham filed a Cessation of a person with significant control for David Gold back dated to 3 Jan. He passed away on 4 January 2023 almost three years before the companies' house notice was posted.

Official attendance/tickets sold for West Ham v QPR game was 58,669 today At there were just over 1,500 tickets remaining on sale but over 2,000 seats were screened off in front of and to the sides of 9,000 QPR fans to create a large segregation area. Despite an official attendance of 58,669 there were lots of visible empty seats so the real attendance was probably around 48,000. Exactly why 10,000 fans would buy tickets but didn’t attend is not known but probably a combination of West Ham’s crap football, it was cold and wet, some fans just wanted a loyalty point, transport issues on Jubilee line and QPR fans who had their tickets cancelled

Only six Premier League clubs have increased their concession age from 65 to 66. They are West Ham, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Nottingham Forest and Spurs. There are concerns that the six clubs in question will attempt to raise the concession age again to 67 in 2026 in line with the scheduled state pension age rise. The remaining fourteen clubs within the Premier League have kept their concession age at 65 years of age.

For the first time we know the official attendance for the Betway cup against Celta Vigo last August at the London Stadium. A freedom of information response from Newham Council has revealed the attendance was 16,078

NEOM Club who play in the Saudi second tier Yellow League have reached an agreement with the French Club Lyon to sign former Hammer Said Benrahma in a winter deal. According to the French newspaper “L’Equipe”, the deal will be completed for 15 million euros, in addition to another 3 million euros in add ons bonuses for Lyon and it is expected that Benrahma, whose contract with Lyon expires in the summer of 2027, will travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today to complete the contract and medical.

West Ham club sources are saying tight lipped on the exact amount they bid to Aston Villa for Jhon Duran this summer but confirm they 'bid hard' despite limited funds available. Initially it was reported that West Ham had a bid £35m rejected, £5m under Villa's supposed valuation but last week Fabrizio Romano who is rumoured to have links to Tim Steidten claimed the bid amount was actually £43m plus a sell on clause which was rejected. Villa sources separately claim that their club's valuation was £60m including add-ons together with a sell on cause and buy back clause. The 20-year-old Villa striker who posted a video of himself in the summer with crossed Hammers has scored 6 goals this season from 9 appearances including the winner in the Champions League against Bayer Munich.
