@_Andres_Sanch_ I think it may be the communication of value. Maybe hop on a call to list out the benefits of the podcast in detail, and how they benefit the persons business. After some discussion with Q & A only then say the price. I can’t imagine a F*ck you after that

Why did podcast hosts normalize offering free appearances? Hosts prep for the episodes, setup the episode, bring their in house teams in for product and editing, work hard on packaging and distribution. All in the effort of giving the guest visibility. I ask small founders with small followings to pay $299 to come on the show and the responses I am getting are as if I am disrespecting them lol. For $299 they get - 5-10 professionally edited clips from my team - a spot in my newsletter all about them and their offer that goes out to 17,000+ CEOs - a SEO optimized blog post that sits evergreen on the internet - a professionally edited podcast posted on every major platform including X and YouTube - access to all the raw footage which provides guests with months of content All that for $299 and the responses I receive are “scammer” and “terrible business”. They same person will spend $200+ on a dinner over the weekend. Seems like a broken system if you ask me.
