The Sonnet tier of models was already dead before, with Kimi-K3 I expect the Opus tier to become obsolete too Frontier Labs have to go to 10T models now

Introducing Kimi K3: Open Frontier Intelligence 🔹 2.8 Trillion Parameters, 1 Million Context, Native Multimodal 🔹 Kimi Delta Attention enables up to 6.3x faster decoding in million-token contexts 🔹 Attention Residuals deliver ~25% higher training efficiency at <2% additional cost 🔹 Built for long-horizon agentic coding and self-evolving workflows Kimi K3 is now live on on Kimi.com, Kimi Work, Kimi Code, and the Kimi API. Open Weights by July 27, 2026. 🔗 API: platform.kimi.ai 🔗 Tech blog: kimi.com/blog/kimi-k3

Moonshot AI confirms Kimi being 2.8T

Tech report on Soofi-S-base is out: A 30B-A3B Mixture-of-Experts Model based on @NVIDIAAI's Nemotron 3 architecture, trained on 27T tokens with a strong focus on German. Supports up to 1M context length. Its a decent model and a solid first step. And SOOFI-L-base is already training. Throughout the project, we executed more than one million benchmark task runs. During the production training run, we continuously evaluated intermediate checkpoints to track whether we are on target. Brief 🧵 on base model evals in SOOFI, a technical blog with more details will follow soon.

Tencent’s HY4 is currently in training and will be larger than HY3 (295B total parameters, 21B active) HY4 will also be multimodal. Hunyuan aims to enter the top tier of Chinese models by 2027 ByteDance’s Seed team is training an unprecedentedly large model Source: LatePost (晚点)

1/ muse spark 1.1 is an industry-competitive agentic and coding model. across many agentic evals it rivals gpt-5.5 and opus-4.8. available now through the new meta model api and in meta ai. 🧵

Zuck: “The pricing from some of the other labs is very extreme and has very high margins. We think that there’s a real ability to be able to offer frontier or very high-level intelligence at a much more affordable cost.” Epic pricing war breaking out among agentic models.
