@W6345789 The article is from 2019 about which risk groups should be screened. Doesn’t conclude that bowel cancer screening is ineffective or that NHS FIT scr is a waste of money. It was also reviewed in 2023 after new evidence emerged, and the panel did not change its recommendations.
@OrganaWhite @W6345789 @asianmomriot It wasn’t a letter. It was a BMJ Rapid Recommendation which was weak but it did not say screening should be abandoned, nor did it conclude screening programmes worsen outcomes. The review of evidence in 2023, they made the decision not to change current recommendations.
