I became a nurse cos I wanted to help people live, not argue online whether science is real. When people attack for supporting vaccines or public health, it hurts more than I can say. I’ve held hands with patients who didn’t make it. Ive seen what preventable illnesses can…1/3

@blackswanroses So your position is that biomedical scientists, pathologists, UKAS, analyser manufacturers and every hospital lab are all pretending to test blood? That’s an extraordinary claim. Where’s the evidence? 🤔

@blackswanroses By your logic, blood tests can’t exist either. The NHS processes millions of blood samples every year. We don’t have someone with a pipette and a microscope doing them one by one, it’s why automated analysers have existed for decades. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Update…apparently telling Jon that his sources are outdated and giving him the correct (2023) recommendation is abusive/insulting. 🤔 Reminds him of the Covid days…annnnnnd there we have it. Misinformation pushers who like to cause harm and block you when questioned. Hilarious.

Interesting that you blocked me when I told you your evidence was outdated. So you’re standing by outdated evidence? Interesting. @W6345789 Also, can you point to the bit in your outdated research where it states that screening results in worse outcomes? Oh wait…

@W6345789 @SusanCowell Jon doesn’t like being told his information is outdated. Strange that. You’d think that someone would appreciate up to date knowledge? Can’t think why they wouldn’t… 😏

@W6345789 The article is from 2019 about which risk groups should be screened. Doesn’t conclude that bowel cancer screening is ineffective or that NHS FIT scr is a waste of money. It was also reviewed in 2023 after new evidence emerged, and the panel did not change its recommendations.

Also… x.com/sammmmbb_/stat… So you clearly have no idea how to research or interpret it but you feel lecturing people with your misinformation, that can cause real harm, is okay? 🤔

@OrganaWhite @W6345789 @asianmomriot It wasn’t a letter. It was a BMJ Rapid Recommendation which was weak but it did not say screening should be abandoned, nor did it conclude screening programmes worsen outcomes. The review of evidence in 2023, they made the decision not to change current recommendations.

@amw467 @lindapmm49 You’re still not getting it. I answered you gladly, genuinely & honestly in a concise fashion (I don’t have time to go into detail to every reply I make) & instead of thanking me & accepting my answer for what it was you chose to have a dig at my character. It was unnecessary.

@W6345789 @asianmomriot A letter from who? Or should that be whom? How can screening people for bowel cancer produce worse outcomes than not screening for it?

@SammmmBB_ @xxsnzz Exactly. My first thought was, if you know whats in it and dont want to use it but dont "want to waste money", then take it back to the doctors to give to someone who may benefit from it instead of opening it up for a bloody photo op!

How would a bowel screening kit not be safe or effective? What do you think it’s going to do Susan? Climb up your arsehole and steal your organs??

@asianmomriot Not as simple as that. There was a letter to the BMJ recommending AGAINST universal screening for bowel cancer and there's similar with Breast cancer and some other things where universal screening gives WORSE outcomes
