Days like today remind me of when the Rockets, for the third consecutive year, had top odds to land the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft Lottery… only to not get it again and instead fall to the 4th overall pick, while the Spurs landed No. 1 and the generational talent in Victor Wembanyama.
I was watching it live at the Astros game with two of my friends from San Antonio. No matter how many ways I try to cope with it, that day will haunt me forever. #NBARigged

The #Texans signed RB Evan Hull. Hull, a 2023 5th-round pick, was last with the Saints. He should give the Texans depth at RB going into camp. As a corresponding move, they waived TE Luke Lachey, their 2025 7th round pick.

Had CB3 has a need because of the health of Jaylin Smith but am fine with Smith/Huzzie being CB3 / coverage nickel. Ramsey could provide some too but more of a “star” nickel.
Depends how agressive Nick & DeMeco want to be I suppose.

There's a reason the Texans didn't target a MLB early like Anthony Hill Jr. and CJ Allen in the draft.
It's becuase they already had a pro bowler on the roster who's just entering his prime in Azeez Al-Shaair.

@TexansCommenter Thats my thinking. We have the most stacked retained roster we’ve had this era. I think they knew the top guys they didnt want to be without & that was evident in the trade-ups. I feel like after that they were truly going best player on their board as it fell.

I wonder if the Texans were more “all-in” in this draft or if it just played out that way.
They really zeroed in on their top needs: IOL, IDL, blocking TE, then IOL again. They also traded up early, maybe learning from last year when patience cost them targets.
But last year can be seen about filling needs, too. Now, with a more complete roster, they likely had the flexibility to be precise.
