Texas Education Agency (TEA) needs a DOGE!! 👉🏻Since 2016, the TEA has expanded its workforce by nearly 50%, adding around 400 employees 👉🏻 The agency’s budget has grown exponentially, yet student test scores have dropped dramatically. 👉🏻TEA has not undergone a FULL sunset audit since before 2005, meaning billions in taxpayer dollars have not been fully accounted for #HB5419 mandates a FULL sunset review of TEA, requiring: 👉🏻A detailed review of every TEA contract since 2016 exceeding $100,000, including costs, impacts, and inefficiencies 👉🏻An evaluation of TEA staffing increases and whether they have improved education outcomes 👉🏻A zero-based budgeting process to justify every dollar spent by TEA The Call to Action: Demand Accountability!
