Rashford did it in the PL, Antony has shown no reason to believe he can do the same. Leagues aren’t 1:1 translations. Rashy’s probably in that tier of player who are of sufficient quality and versatility to put up a pretty high level in any league (I would personally love to see him in Germany one day, after he comes back to United and wins us a PL). Antony is about 5 tiers below that level. But, he’s well enough tailored to Spain for it to work. Also, from the true football fan (romantic, illogical, heart-before-head) side of things, Rashy’s a local lad, who came through the academy since he was a kid, and did amazing things to help his community. On the pitch he’s delivered some incredible, incredible moments— from his debut goals, to the penalty in Paris, to a goal in the final to win us the league cup. Antony doesn’t have any of that.

It’s not a must for you to agree with me, but if you watched Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest, you would agree that Victor Lindelöf was everywhere on the pitch. The guy played very well in midfield in his first game playing there. He is known as a defender and sometimes as a right-back, but Unai Emery decided to use him in midfield after Onana got injured. Honestly, he performed brilliantly. He was defending, recovering the ball, joining attacks, breaking play, and making tackles. Meanwhile, Elliot Anderson — the player Manchester United want to sign — was struggling badly. What made it even more special was that when Lindelöf got substituted, the Aston Villa fans gave him a standing ovation. Anderson was almost nowhere, and in the end the team lost 4-0. This is why, when thinking about players to sign, we must think carefully. Victor proved that what we really need is another strong midfielder — not just any player because of hype.
