It costs children ages 3-11 $23 Lucky people in Illinois some days get a discount and get in for $26 I swear I am not making this up—but they are REQUIRED TO SHOW ID, and be scanned before entering! I thought democrats didn’t like showing their identifications 🙄 I think after everything Obama has done to “fundamentally change” America isn’t worth paying $30 to see. Would you pay 🤔

Gerrymandering is not in the constitution. The early colonies had deep traditions of democracy and voting. Gerrymandering just grew out naturally from that environment. It wasn’t seen at the time as a good thing but those who were winners from the practice just couldn’t bring themselves to fight fair and here we are.

You speak sane and people here call you crazy. We have been registering folks to vote for over a century in this country requiring proof of residency and handing them their voter registration. With that voter registration card they go vote along with all the hysterics of the other party checking every voter’s underwear for Catholics who might have walked in from Mexico who would ordinarily not be within a hundred miles of a voting booth if they were not born here.

@EricaRN4USA @urie_ryan @BarackObama all states require IDs, documentation on your residence, and proof of citizenship to register to vote. ID requirements to vote at a polling location is not the same. what matters is the registration process takes care of every issue. without registration, you can’t vote ID or not

@AzPetrich Really? Because when I renewed my license last year, they gave me Real ID without my even asking. This was at the location on Bell Rd in Surprise. Maybe it's different at your location, though.

The larger number of different taxes spreads the load more evenly. If we only had one tax that everyone paid there would be circumstantial differences where certain groups (say, law firms) would pay unjustly. Further, fewer taxes would undermine democracy by forcing all decisions to be made by the one or two taxing agencies. For example, not everyone pays all the taxes you listed.

You just don’t get it. Dead is dead. You come into this world with nothing and you leave with nothing. And the law is the law and the law should advise each of us that you just can’t leave $100,000,000 to your spoiled rotten kids. It ruins them and it denies the nation of potential new businesses and it perpetuates riches where it is not earned. It’s anti democratic. I don’t know what the numbers should be but they ought to be better than what we have.

Seizing property of people after they die is immoral, they own the assets, they should decide who gets them.

Yes, you can write a will that represents your wishes including making cash distributions, within the law. A will cannot violate the law. And if the law prescribes that your billions are taxed then that is the law. And it’s not like this would blindside anyone alive and considering their will. They’ll get over it.
