@AnekweChiemelie @mamuzoBV @davido Your point is that he shouldn't have said anything at all? Y'all don't really know who is with you and who is against you. And that way, you tend to turn on someone fighting the same cause as you. The reform we need as humans is truly deep, that it's only God that can help.

@originalproflle I just want to drop this here. Regarding safety, voting and securing the ballot box. Best advice I've gotten so far is that, you should cast your vote in an area you know well and they know you there too. Let your polling unit be at a stronghold where you know enough people

The wereys that we should look out for on Election Day: - Hired thugs who think they have monopoly of violence. WALK IN GROUPS, ESTABLISH A STRONG PRESENCE AS A TEAM, DEFEND THE VOTES AND YOURSELF. - CORPERS and INEC polling officials trying to move funny by doing stuffs like hiding ballot: At least have 1 or 2 people on the team live-streaming. We want to know their face and identity. This will serve as a deterrent. - Party vote buyers. Maintain a strong presence and make sure they are not allowed around the polling unit. Once the vote buyers see the tone on the ground, they will behave I swear.

You people should not forget the fact that a state governor has no authority to issue orders to police officers or soldiers. For instance, troops can block a governor’s convoy, and the governor has no power to command them to move aside. In fact, a governor doesn’t even control his own security detail, they can simply walk away from him, and there’s nothing he can do about it. Ultimately, all real power rests with the president.

Oyo Schoolchildren K+dnap: I can not do anything about insecurity until I am elected the president in 2027 – Gov. Makinde Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has lamented his inability to fully tackle the growing wave of k+dnappings and abd¥ctions in the state, saying governors lack constitutional control over security agencies despite being referred to as Chief Security Officers. Speaking in Ibadan on Saturday while accepting the presidential nomination of the African People’s Movement (APM), Makinde said the continued captivity of abducted schoolchildren and residents in Oyo remains p@inful. “Today, innocent schoolchildren and citizens abd¥cted by criminals remain in captivity in Oyo State,” he said. “As Governor of Oyo State, I carry the burden of being called the Chief Security Officer of the state, yet lacking constitutional control over the security agencies required to fully address these thr£at.” Makinde argued that governors should not be blamed for insecurity when they do not control the agencies responsible for tackling it. “No governor should bear responsibility without having the authority necessary to act,” he stated. The governor promised to reform Nigeria’s security structure if elected president, insisting that states must have greater powers to respond to security thr£ats. “As President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, by the grace of God, I will work to reform our national security architecture so that states are no longer left helpless in moments of crisis,” he said. He added that decentralisation would be a major part of his security agenda. “The decentralisation necessary for more effective security management will be prioritised. The safety and security of Nigerians will never be treated as a political slogan,” Makinde declared. According to him, Nigerians are demanding leadership that delivers real results. “We cannot continue recycling the same approaches while expecting different outcomes. A new direction must emerge, one founded on competence, courage, accountability and compassion,” Makinde added.

@samsho__ @Benking443 I know. I'm just saying he is not the first ex governor of a state. For him to have this much people still rallying around him clearly signifies that he did significantly well as a governor in his state. We need to experience his mentality of governance at a federal level.

Don’t Borrow to Fund Weddings and Parties, Use the Money for Your Family Instead — Peter Obi Former Anambra State governor and former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has advised Nigerians against spending beyond their means on weddings, birthdays and other celebrations. Speaking about his personal experience, Obi revealed that he has been married for more than 30 years and that only a small number of people attended his wedding. “Nobody will ever tell you today they attended Peter’s white wedding because the number was few. In each case they were not more than one dozen.” According to him, he and his wife deliberately chose a modest wedding because they preferred to invest their money in their home rather than spend it on entertaining guests. He warned that many couples fall into debt after organising extravagant ceremonies, saying financial pressure often leads to disagreements in marriage. “Don’t go and do nonsense celebration. You have a child one-year celebration, two-year celebration, that is not school fees. Use that money to pay the child’s school fees.” Obi also urged people to avoid unnecessary birthday parties if they cannot comfortably afford them. On Nigeria’s electricity challenges, he said he had visited several power plants and pointed to Egypt’s progress as an example of what is possible. “Egypt was generating less than 20,000 megawatts by 2016. By 2021, it is generating over 45,000 megawatts. As me and you speak, Egypt exports power to Europe.” Obi said he met with contractors working on power projects in both countries and questioned why similar results had not been achieved in Nigeria. “Why is it working in Egypt and not working in Nigeria? They told me it is a Nigerian problem.”
