As one of the youngest women serving in Congress — and the youngest in the Maryland delegation — the fight for our reproductive rights isn’t abstract to me. We have seen the devastating consequences of extreme laws that strip autonomy, delay lifesaving care, and disrupt the ability to plan one’s own family. That’s why I’m proud to share that I’ve been endorsed by Reproductive Justice Maryland. Their mission is a vital one: championing reproductive justice as a fundamental human right for every Marylander. Like them, I believe that everyone deserves the freedom to make informed decisions about their bodies, their health, and their futures — free from discrimination or government interference.

Maryland: we are now 100 days out from the Primary Election! ⏰We’ve been having some incredible conversations with hundreds of neighbors and engaging voters in living rooms, around kitchen tables, and at doorsteps across #MD03 on our Doors for Democracy Tour. A big thank you to our state and local partners – and to everyone who has shown up with enthusiasm and energy over the past few weekends in Columbia, Ellicott City, and Annapolis!

It is always a brave act to put your name on the ballot and ask your neighbors to place their trust in you.  For the first time since 1974, Maryland Democrats have a candidate running in 100% of state legislative races across the state. 188 seats. 188 Democrats. Every community deserves a voice. It’s time to get to work. If you are interested in supporting state Red to Blue candidates, please visit mddems.org/volunteer

On Saturday morning, Councilwoman Christiana Rigby said it best: “We’re out here fighting fascism, but we are also connecting neighborhoods.” 30+ Do-Something Democrats rallied in Howard County to hit doors in Columbia, Jessup, and Elkridge on behalf of @christianarigby and their Team 13 for the Statehouse: Senator Guy Guzzone, Delegate Pam Guzzone, Delegate Gabe Moreno, and Candidate for Delegate Amy Brooks. This strong showing in March is a testament to the will of our amazing neighbors who are ready to step up and mobilize. Across the board, our team had great conversations in every community about affordability, protecting federal workers, and keeping our school systems strong. I hope you will join us next for our three other canvass launches this month – including Ellicott City next Saturday! Since the day after the 2024 election, I’ve heard one question again and again from folks across the Third District: “What can I do?” Howard County, our Doors for Democracy Tour is coming to you, and it’s an excellent way to support state & local Democratic candidates up and down the ballot. You can join us on March 7th in Columbia or March 14th in Ellicott City. See you at the doors! 📍Columbia: mobilize.us/s/7QiUoY 📍Ellicott City: mobilize.us/s/Cb63YS

From Annapolis to Columbia to Mt. Airy, Do-Something Democrats are raising their hands and ready to help ensure victory in November! It was great to spend a Wednesday night back at my old stomping grounds with the D30 Democratic Club discussing our continued work to make life more affordable for Marylanders, hold this Administration accountable, protect the integrity of our elections, and more. Special thank you to all the (original coiners of the slogan!) Do-Something Democrats who signed up to join our Doors for Democracy Tour across the Third District starting in March! P.S. There’s still time to sign up! 📍Columbia on March 7th: mobilize.us/s/7QiUoY 📍Ellicott City on March 14th: mobilize.us/s/Cb63YS 📍Annapolis on March 15th: mobilize.us/s/dV24ER 📍Glen Burnie on March 22nd: mobilize.us/s/dnu6pi 📍Carroll County is on deck!

In 2018, I was not represented by a woman on the local, county, state, or federal level in Anne Arundel. Last weekend, I stood alongside – and celebrated Galentine’s Day with – @allison_pickard and many of the incredible women who have worked to close that gap over several years of hard work. I am excited to support Allison to be our next County Executive because not only is she a woman who gets stuff done, but she is the lawmaker with the experience – from her years on the Board of Education and County Council – for the job. She is ready on day one to turn her vision into action and create a County that works for every family, because no one should have to choose between paying the bills, putting food on the table, or finding a place to call home – and I am proud to back her in this race.

Elections aren’t won in November. They’re won when we brave the heat or the cold to knock doors and hear directly from neighbors. They’re won when we support candidates up and down the ballot as we build momentum - well in advance of any Election Day.  There is too much at stake this year to sit on the sidelines. That’s why I am so excited to kick off the Doors For Democracy Tour with state & local partners right here in #MD03. Whether you’re in Annapolis, Columbia, Glen Burnie, or Ellicott City, there’s a way for you to get involved!

This hateful, racist rhetoric has no place in Anne Arundel – and no place in America. I echo Councilman Smith's words: our county is strongest when we stand together, and we all must unite against hate. The only way forward is to stay engaged in our communities and stand strong against these attacks that are meant to intimidate.

I’m honored to share that I’ve been endorsed by Stop Gun Violence. Here in the Third District, we’ve seen the tragic impact of gun violence firsthand. In the Maryland Senate, I worked to rebuild and keep our communities safe – and since coming to Congress, I’ve proudly supported commonsense gun safety legislation to close loopholes, ensure proper background checks, and ban assault weapons. Congress has a responsibility to address the gun violence epidemic in our country – because no one should be scared to attend their home of worship and no parent should be scared to send their kids to school.

These are unimaginably difficult times for so many in our community and across the country. But it is the resilience of our neighbors and the partnerships with local, state, and community leaders that give me the optimism and energy for 2026. I was so grateful to be joined by many friends and neighbors last week in Ellicott City to talk not just about the chaos in Washington – but the good work we’ve been able to accomplish together over the last year and the important election ahead. From securing millions of dollars in federal funding for critical projects and programs right here in Howard County to supporting our immigrant neighbors to introducing legislation to protect federal workers, our wins are only made possible through strong partnerships here at home. And getting to the majority in November will continue to be a team sport. Thank you to all who braved the weather and the wonderful Phoenix Emporium for hosting us on beautiful, historic Main Street!

When ICE sends under-trained agents into our communities with guns and masks and no respect for due process, the public trust is eroded. When two U.S. citizens, Alex Pretti and Renee Good, are brutally murdered, it is clear that Secretary Noem’s ICE is not making our communities any safer. When people are afraid to go to work, send their kids to school, or peacefully protest because of actions taken by their own government, that is a fundamental failure. As your representative, I voted NO on funding ICE and DHS. I have called for a complete and thorough investigation of what happened in Minneapolis. And, I have called for the impeachment of Secretary Noem. Oversight is not optional – it is our obligation.
