Tonight, I spoke to over 550 students attending the Florida Future Educators of America Conference. Florida’s next generation of teachers is ready – and we’re here to support them every step of the way.

Today, I had the great privilege of recognizing a distinguished group of Florida educators. @FLTOY2026 Mark Harrison, Principal of the Year Joseph Mikulski, Assistant Principal of the Year Dr. Bryan Alvaré, School-Related Employee of the Year Kelsie Rodriguez and Superintendent of the Year Dr. David Moore represent the best of best, and we thank them for their dedication to students. We also celebrated @EducationFL’s September “Going the Extra Mile” employee of the month, Lee Peck from our Just Read! Office, who is dedicated to supporting early childhood literacy. Her hard work is greatly appreciated!

I have been given the incredible privilege of serving as the new Bureau Chief of Educator Recruitment, Development and Retention with the Florida Department of Education in Tallahassee.
