I grew up in the care system in South Wales before being adopted. I am honoured to serve the country where my story began. Being elected as your MS for Pen-y-bont Bro Morgannwg is the honour of my life. I'm here to listen. I'm here to serve. @RUKWales

From entering the care system at three weeks old to standing in the Senedd. I don’t stand here today as someone who failed — because along the way, people refused to fail me. That’s what drives my work. Grateful to the BBC for covering it. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@Jordon3Jane Absolutely. And it’s not talked about enough in public life as there aren’t many of us in that situation! I think I must be the first care experienced MS in the Senedd!

@SarahReform Great to hear about a success from within the care system sadly so many children are failed and passed around like a commodity. You are a real experienced champion to seek change.

Start by looking at educational attainment level for school leavers. With the worst performing Education nation in UK and bottom 25% across Europe on PISA scale. How far down the age range do problems start- pre Secondary as many pupils move up from Primary without basic skills? Why is it often ethnic minority children who outperform? Is there a family culture to strive and succeed in many cultures that we have lost within non ethnic Welsh families? Investigate how many subjects are taught by teachers who are not subject specialists such as PE teachers teaching science. The list of issues that result in youngsters becoming NEAT is endless.

Two months in the Senedd. 11 oral questions. 67 written questions. 54 pieces of casework. 30 organisations met. 5 speeches. And one motion- to give care-experienced children in Wales the statutory protections they’re owed. It passed unanimously. It’s not binding- but the Government is open to legislating, and I’ll be meeting with the Minister in the months ahead.

@SarahReform @Nigel_Farage @reformparty_uk That's not to say that is a universal trait in Reform. Nor are Labour and Plaid morally superior. Unfortunately, politics has now become so divisive, nothing can get done. The UK can't afford that, though. We need leaders who can solve our problems.

I said on a video of my own yesterday. That these petulant and emotional outbursts By the Deputy First Minister. Happening all too often unfortunately. Are proving to be terrible PR for Plaid at this point. 22k have already seen this clip.... Something's got to give surely? x.com/i/status/20770…

🚨HAPLESS SIONED SNAPS AGAIN🚨 Plaid's broken childcare promise is coming back to bite Deputy First Minister Sioned Williams. Once again, she couldn't explain when it'll be rolled out in full. She lost her cool several times with Christina Elmsley earlier. Best bits below ⬇️

@NickiClarke18 Thank you very much. There are many issues. My foster nan was amazing and fostered so many kids in her lifetime. She was 72 when she fostered me!

@SarahReform Well done for all you've done and will continue to do. My sister and brother in law have been foster carers for nearly 20 years. She herself has seen many things wrong within the system. She adopted the last 2 she fostered and has now finished. She was amazing at it.
