@DrMel_T I loved the R for data science handbook - super easy to go through! There was also an easy R group who did some short course trainings I found very helpful. Also R meetups and R ladies in Melbourne - very supportive group, great place to learn a lot!

A couple of days ago I packed up my whole life, travelled for 35hrs, and moved to Edinburgh. I'm changing countries, changing cities and changing science fields. Please tag your favourite UK and cancer tweeters. #adventure

For those concerned about us as the absolute horror unfolds in SE NSW today: We have evacuated to Sydney and fortunate enough to be hiding in aircon today. Not taking any chances while 36 weeks pregnant...

#WinterSolstice greetings! A good time to reflect that we have 10 years, 10 days until 2030. That's when the IPCC advises humanity must be already HALFWAY TO ZERO global emissions for a fighting chance to avoid dire climate catastrophe. Many scientists feel we need to go faster.

At the #MMVat20 celebration. It's great to see the positive side of what's been acheived over the last 20 years. I think in research we focus on the problems, but it's good to reflect! And remember that we can #endmalaria @MedsforMalaria
