Picked up Hollow Knight for the long plane right back home to the US. I don't think I've ever played a more unforgiving and frustrating game in my life. LOVE the style but man I wanted to snap my Switch in half multiple times on the plane 😅

Conquest is the far superior game mode for Marvel Snap, and makes the game so much better. Unfortunately, it also removes the thing that makes it so addictive (short games).

@kurtmargenau You guys all have better memories than me. I was on a Alaskan cruise, reading online about how the game wasn't properly saving progress. And I was the last person to work on the savegame system so I was pretty sure I'd single handedly destroyed the release of TLOU.

10 years ago today, I was at my 10 year high school reunion back in PA. Went to the local Walmart and saw a TLOU kiosk with a demo and was like damn I worked on that. It’s the kind of “suck it losers” moment everyone hopes for at a reunion except people at my HS were chill lol.

10 years ago today, I was still doing Theatre in NYC. I played TLOU and realized the kinds of intimate narratives I loved working on in Theatre were not only possible, but could be more impactful in games. I asked my partner what she thought about me going to grad school.

@vinixkun I feel the same way, leveling actually makes me weaker cause my relative fear stays the same. I stopped doing mini quests and optional stuff just so I’d stay lower level. I’m guessing the progression system will feel better post game when you are barely leveling g at all

I’m level 47 in Diablo IV and generally enjoying it, but having a hard time feeling a sense of progression. When I go to the Act I areas, the enemies that were once level 10 there when I was level 10 are now level 47. (1/3)

@thegreatbluebit Like why are we dedicating a shoulder button to something that is 99% of the time a "unilateral disarmament" button that you will never actually want to do? Especially when we now have the ability to throw things with arrows and arrows are plentiful!?

@thegreatbluebit yeah, been really frustrating to deal with the controls... they get so much so right in the game, but mechanically there are so many frustrations. I couldn't believe how frequently I was forced to do hand gymnastics to hold multiple buttons

@thedmatts I was having fun with an electro sandman deck earlier this season. Sometimes people would stay in when I aero'd on turn 5 thinking they'd be able to win on turn 6. And then you hit them with the Odin on the Aero 😀That was my main 8 cube winner.

@NandaIN_1st @Sashekar What Sandeep says. But also, pull doors are gnarly. You need to get out of their way, thus I have to remove controls longer. Even these push opens above are speed up quite a bit and then polished to conceal it. Pull doors gonna be x2 harder to make look good and as responsive.

I remember when I finished the anim system for TLOU2 combat doors, I thought “Maybe much. But it’s all done now. We have it and we gonna reuse it forever. Cause like what more one can possibly desire from this damned door? Right?“. Oh boy WAS. I. WRONG.
