@SavvyRinu It's very unfortunate that even the revered Monarch, Gbong Gwom Jos, has to go the aiport to wait for hours for Tinubu's arrival. Very arrogant and disrespectful lot

@Munirat1Umar Is Hausa the language of Muslims? Thousands of churches in Plateau State conduct their services in Hausa. The Hausa Bible has Allah as God. So what justification have you that they are Muslims?

It's time to do something and not sitting here claiming if Iran release its nukes, it's capable of this or that in Nigeria. Well, that should even be very good if Iran fires it. What is Nigeria doing about that? We are tired of seeing our army in Kalashnikov rifles.

The Nigerian government should begin to invest massively on research and development of its nuclear programs to protect itself in years to come. If Iran which was sanctioned on all front could do that, Nigeria has the human and material resources to do same.

@Mautiin01 @arojinle1 Fun Fact: - Wild boars are high-risk carriers of a wide variety of parasites. - They’re known to harbor dozens of different species of worms and protozoa. - They are considered major reservoirs for zoonotic pathogens that can cause severe illness in humans.

Concerning the Statements Made Against Me by Mr Omoyele Sowore, Through His Lawyer in Court With regard to the claims made by Mr Omoyele Sowore and his counsel, Mr Abubakar Marshal, in court on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, I do freely admit that I did make uncomplimentary remarks about the then Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, while believing those comments to be true at the time I uttered them. Subsequent to making those statements, I discovered that they were not, in fact, true, and I publicly withdrew them in writing and on video at various times and through multiple platforms. On the day that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which was Monday, May 29, 2023, I released a statement affirming him as President of Nigeria and urging members of the public to put the past behind them and give him their full support. I repeated this stance and public call on Thursday, October 26, 2023, the day the Supreme Court of Nigeria ruled in favour of the President, after dismissing the petitions against him brought by Alhaji Waziri Atiku Abubakar, and Mr Peter Obi, amongst others. In that judgment, the honourable court declared that there were no criminal charges or convictions against the President. It clarified what had happened in the past, which had been misrepresented by some media. On the same day the judgement was rendered, I accepted it, applauded it, and stated that, based on that verdict, my stance on the statements I had made against the President had changed: not only was it wrong, but I fully believed it was fallacious. Two days thereafter, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, I gave an interview to TVC, in which I affirmed the Supreme Court's judgement and declared it a righteous verdict and that their Lord Justices did a good job and followed the letter and spirit of the law. When members of the Peoples Democratic Party, to which I was then aligned, continued to dwell on those unfounded allegations, I arranged to be interviewed on Newscentral Television on Thursday, March 27, 2025, where I said that the President had been "exonerated", a word that I used intentionally, as I have a Master’s in Law from the United Kingdom, and understood and wanted to project and confirm to the Nigerian public that a constitutionally recognised official body had absolved the President of any wrongdoing, which is the legal meaning of that word. Following this, I went on the most watched talk show in Nigeria, Politics Today, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, where I admitted to the Nigerian public and the world at large during a live broadcast that I was wrong about those statements I made about the then candidate, and that I relied on false publications in the media in making them, and that having gotten accurate judicial pronouncements that exonerated the President and established beyond any reasonable doubt that the information I had erroneously believed, chiefly from Mr Omoyele Sowore's platform, Saharareporters, and from the mouth of Mr Sowore himself, was false, I withdrew those statements and apologised for them. Prior to that, I had sought a private audience with the President himself on October 1, 2024, where I flew into Nigeria from my home in California, and apologised to him in person, prostrating flat on the ground, before stating that I was misled by publications in the media into making those statements, and that my actions were not malicious, but that I was then labouring under a mistaken belief that what I had read in the media was true, when in fact it was wrong.

Senate President, and Speaker of the House of Reps are elected by the elected Senators and House members respectively. CJN is appointed by the President on the recommendation of the NJC and must be confirmed by the Senate.

It's naive for Nigerians to believe that a sitting CJN can ever remove an elected President in an election tribunal. President is elected in a general election. Senate and house of Reps are elected by their respective senatorial zones and constituencies.

I remember in 2017 when I was still In the bank . One day I was feeling so frustrated because of the work pressure and I was pregnant at the time(pregnancy I later lost due to stress). This young man full of life and zeal walked up to me when I was stepping out for lunch,he handed me a piece of paper and told me “neo life” was recruiting. “We need people like you” he muttered. I didn’t know what “neo life” was but the content of the paper sounded like mehn!! Ada You have found the missing puzzle, go for it. That’s how I went to the location the next day. Told my Team lead , I needed to see some clients. Got to this warehouse filled with human beings and I didn’t understand what was happening. After a while, This advanced man signaled everyone to come together and he started preaching about financial freedom. When they were done, I sighed heavily and without saying a word to anyone, i simply went back to the office. I couldn’t find words to describe the scene or how desperation made me believe that any serious company would even seek to employ people by merely sharing pieces of paper on the street. If anyone walked into my office and asked “Ada are you ok”? I would nod my head and not say a word. Do you have any experience with this beautiful souls? Share with me. Ije uwa.

The @NGRSenate should as a matter of urgency enact a law to make all elected government officials who decamped to other political parties to vacate their positions or stay in the party they were elected. Enough of decamping with people's mandate.

GOOD NEWS FROM PLATEAU Maj Gen Oyinlola and his men started New Year 2026 with offensive action in the early hours of Thursday 1 January as Gallant Troops of the 3 Division successfully foiled an attempted attack on communities in Plateau State, neutralising the bandits and recovering weapons. Troops laid an ambush along the Dutsen Zaki–Odare Forest axis, where the bandits were mobilising to strike neighbouring communities.

@ishaqsamaila5 Here is the Logic: He created, nurture and finance bandits. He planted his boys in the military to keep leaking information for him. Then position himself as a peace mediator. That is how trickery and deception are employed

For those who do not understand why Sheikh Gumi carries so much influence in Nigeria, and why he speaks so boldly about bandits, even appearing to defend them, you need to look at his background. Sheikh Gumi is a retired Captain of the Nigerian Army. This single fact explains a lot. This is not an ordinary cleric speaking from the sidelines. This is a man who understands military structure, protocol, and strategy. He knows how the system works, and how conflicts are managed, prolonged, or quietly tolerated. He is one of the few people in Nigeria who openly advocates for negotiating with bandits and terrorists And When you watch him carefully, one thing stands out: he is not afraid. Men who are not afraid usually have reasons. He speaks with the confidence of someone who knows the networks, protection, and persistence of bandits. He positions himself as a mediator, even an advocate. He may appear sympathetic but that calmness is built on knowledge and experience ordinary people do not have. Do not be distracted by tone or religious language. A retired military officer speaking this way in public is telling you that the problem is deeper and more entrenched than most imagine. He knows something deeper than a mere social post. And I honestly think the federal government should start paying closer attention to him. At this point, no stone should be left unturned. The federal government should invite him, question him directly, ask why he appears to advocate for bandits and terrorists, and quietly gather whatever intelligence they can from his answers. Unless the government already knows exactly what he is saying and is simply using public silence as camouflage. But whatever the case, voices like this should never be ignored. Ifeanyi Christopher
