I’m running for governor to reject the Washington Way that keeps making life harder for working Wisconsinites, and get things done the Wisconsin Way. That means lowering costs for families and fighting back against Trump and the ultra-wealthy who are chipping away at the foundation of what makes Wisconsin truly great.

Gov. Evers hits back after his surplus deal has been criticized by Dem legislative leaders and candidates for governor. Asked about Dems calling it "irresponsible" or "payday loan," Evers says "that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard." He adds "we're gonna get this done today"

Our blockbuster bipartisan deal invests over $600 million in our kids and schools, providing the largest increase to the special education reimbursement rate in state history. More of your tax dollars will be coming back home to help your local school! ⬇️ content.govdelivery.com/accounts/WIGOV…

I won't ever sit out of a fight for our democracy.
Mandela HQ@mandelaHQ

NEW from @thenation Editorial Board: "The Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Mandela Barnes has the right idea: If elected with a Democratic legislature, he promises to move immediately in 2027 to redraw the battleground state’s congressional maps, which are currently gerrymandered to give Republicans a 6–2 advantage. 'Red states are being given a free pass to rig their maps by disenfranchising Black voters,' Barnes said. 'We can’t sit this fight out.'" thenation.com/article/societ…

Let it be known Hong opposes folks keeping all their tip and overtime money, getting hundreds of dollars of their hard earned tax dollars back, and helping special ed kids and schools.

In honor of Police Week, I had the opportunity to go on a ride-along with the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Department. It was my first time on a ride-along, so I truly didn’t know what to expect. What I witnessed was incredible. I was astounded by just how much we ask of our law enforcement officers every single day. In the span of about 30 minutes, they went from arresting a violent offender, to responding first on scene to an elderly medical emergency, to calling their own families just to say goodnight. Seeing firsthand the dedication, professionalism, and emotional balance required for this job gave me an entirely new level of respect for those who serve. Thank you to the law enforcement officers across this country who work every day to help keep our families and communities safe. #PoliceWeek #FundThePolice

Wisconsinites are being failed by the status quo. The deck is stacked in favor of billionaires while working people are left behind. We have the Republicans in our state legislature to thank for so much of that—every opportunity we have had to provide relief, they squash it.

Barnes is the only candidate for governor who hasn't commented on the bipartisan tax relief deal. Dem candidates Roys, Hong, Crowley and Brennan slammed the deal. Dem Hughes supports it. Rodriguez didn't clearly say one way or the other. GOP candidate Tiffany opposes it.
Mandela Barnes@TheOtherMandela

In 2021, @TomTiffanyWI voted in favor of a bill that would have instituted a 6-week federal abortion ban, with no exceptions. He can’t be trusted to protect your rights. As governor, I’ll protect the right to choose, making Roe v. Wade the law of the land and finally getting our 1849 abortion ban off the books. #TiffanyTuesday

TONE DEAF & A SLAP IN THE FACE Most Americans can barely afford to fill up their gas tank right now, and somehow, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy thought this was the perfect time to launch a whole-ass reality show about taking his own family on a road trip across America.

Making it to all the stops (that we know of) on the Duffy's Great American "Road" Trip would cost about $900 in gas for a single car -- and that's before you factor in hotels, meals, attraction prices, and the $14,000 luxury Caribbean cruise rollingstone.com/politics/polit…

I hope Hong, Crowley, Roys and the rest of the 'also-ran' democrats keep arguing that WI taxpayers, by God, should not get any of their own hard-earned back. Ride that message right through fall, please. F-word Franny should just come out and say it: Eff the taxpayers.

I was supposed to volunteer with @DCHSgiveshelter & @beaglefreedom to rescue the remaining beagles at Ridglan Farms. However, their attorney told me that I wasn’t welcome on their property. Last minute, I went to thank the volunteers from both groups for their work. I’ll continue to fight for loving homes for all these dogs and all the remaining dogs until facilities like these no longer exist.

People will always come before politics for me. That's why I’m jazzed as hell to announce a blockbuster bipartisan deal that invests in Wisconsin's kids and schools, provides property tax relief statewide, and addresses rising costs for working families.  Get the details ⬇️

In a state that produces as much food as Wisconsin, affordable and nutritious meals should not be hard to come by. As governor, I’m going to take the fight to the greedy corporations and seedy politicians that are ripping us off and putting a stranglehold on our family farms, ensuring fair access to economic opportunity for all.

Asked about @keldahelenroys' comments, @GovEvers said: "If she's not going to support it, my question would be, 'How do you run for governor of the state of WI and say to your schools, well, this money of 42% and 50% for special education, I'm against that?' That's a tough one to run against."

Dem candidate for gov State Sen Kelda Roys rejects bipartisan tax deal between Dem Gov Evers and GOP: “Robin Vos has controlled Wisconsin like a puppeteer for a generation. In his final ‘screw you’ to working families, he’s trying to set the state’s projected surplus on fire…”

How strange. A man running for governor boasts that he can’t govern. I expected much more from Crowley.
