@jkagan1 @RathinamVA Thanks a lot Jon. 100% agree, IRF1 still keeps on surprising us. Particularly, human IRF1 that has a very long 3'UTR.

OAS1 deficiency results in defects in IRF1-dependent host defense. What an interesting link! Kudos to the authors on this intriguing discovery. @SaumenTweet @RathinamVA

The original interferon regulatory factor (IRF1) remains a source of new biology. Sarkar and Rathinam report that translation of mRNAs encoding IRF1 is controlled by an unexpected source: OAS1. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
