Yes, the definition of American culture is quite broad, but it is still distinct. Some cultures will always represent the antithesis of it. Assimilation is largely just a myth and waving an American flag while still living exactly the same as they would in their homeland is not assimilation. This is cultural dilution. As it expands, what was once American just becomes blurred. We can't let that happen.
