Looking at the crowd near eateries this will be possible even before 2035.

Nothing will happen . Jobs won’t become optional and no one will ready to fund this . Humans are not build for this , if govt or anyone try to do that , there will be cry every where as this needs to be funded by some one who is accumulating large amounts of wealth . The society has never been equal and never will be . Even in X every one is against govt spending on benefits and fight for it telling socialism will destroy and now how every one will accept this

What would happen to investing?

@2147mill It’s tough as we need to invest after taxes.

£20k ISA allowance sounds huge until you realize that is £384 per week. One nice meal out, council tax, and a gym membership later and suddenly maxing your ISA feels impossible. That is the design.
