It is dimining to justify poor pay under any guise. That a SAN is paying his wife 150k does not justify poor pay. The truth is that, no matter how well read the SAN is, his law firm cannot survive without the Junior lawyers under his employment. I mean, his knowledge is not sufficient enough to work all alone, so why pay people you cannot do without peanuts if you can afford it?

I know a SAN in Lagos whose wife is the managing partner of the firm, and she's paid N150k. So what law do you know from wherever you're coming from?

So… since yesterday i have got backlashes and fire backs regarding the offer screenshot i shared. While i blurred some things out, people still pieced together context, figured what company it was, shared their experiences which brought so many things to light. Despite my carefulness & hesitation in responding to, opinions, the quotes and reactions, trying to believe that people experience things differently but rather respond thoughtfully and logically, Some lots went far from comment to DMs telling me i behave so immature, Some said it shows i struggle with confidentiality, that I didn’t apply wisdom, that I overshared. I hear you. Here’s the thing; this isn’t about being quick to share wins. It’s about showing up, about documenting a process, about being transparent with my journey. Every step of this interview, every bit of learning, I’ve shared it. And when a milestone came, it was natural for me to share it too which i believe it's progress & not recklessness. I understand some may see it differently. I respect that, we are all different people, we have different perspectives on what’s "wise", "necessary" e.t.c. For me, sharing this was necessary. It reflected my effort, my growth, and yes, my excitement. So the lesson here isn’t about silence or caution but it’s about intent & context Sharing your journey doesn’t make you unwise.
