You can get to walkcycles too, but from my experience, you'll need image2video to help you with it. Pure image generation still doesn't do walkcycles properly.

@GaelBreton I am finding amazing result with glm5.1, I complained I cried in the shower rocking back and forth, I pointed to the doll, and got on with it... opus 4.7 will never be 4.6.

no.
4.6 met you where you were. you could think out loud, half form an idea, and it would meet you there. that wasn't lazy prompting. that was collaboration.
now you have to arrive already knowing exactly what you want, fully formed, precisely specified. the cognitive load shifted entirely back to the user.
you're calling that an upgrade. i'm calling it a product that got worse for anyone who used it to actually think.
the best prompts weren't the most precise ones. they were the ones that started a conversation. 4.7 ended that.

1/ Fact check. Max launched 9 April 2025. Claude Code had shipped as a terminal preview in Feb 2025, two months earlier. Not "a year ago with no coding on the radar."
2/ Anthropic's own Max launch blog, still live, describes Max for people who "collaborate extensively", work with "substantial documents and complex data", on "demanding projects". That's not chat. Nobody paid $200 a month for a chatbot.
3/ The bundle got richer because Anthropic chose to fold Claude Code in. That's a commercial call. Fine, own it. But don't reframe the original Max buyers as casual chatters to justify it.

When we launched Max a year ago, it didn't include Claude Code, Cowork didn't exist, and agents that run for hours weren't a thing. Max was designed for heavy chat usage, that's it.

For clarity, we're running a small test on ~2% of new prosumer signups. Existing Pro and Max subscribers aren't affected.

Anthropic just pulled Claude Code from the Pro plan. Pro users wanting it need Max now. $100/month minimum. 5x jump. I'm on Max 20x so I'm fine. Flagging for anyone on Pro who's about to find out. No announcement. Just a pricing page edit.

@claudeai @Anthropic just watched my entire team cancel their Max 20 subscriptions over Opus 4.7. Token burn doubled, quality tanked. These were paying power users. You didn't upgrade the model, you broke it.
