Even if it was, (which it’s not), To them, they were counting based on “"In the 2nd year of the consulship of M. Tullius and M. Cornelius." And the Greeks would say, “in the 3rd year of the Archonship of Artimedes” or something. You would know this if you read Plutarch or Appian. But you clearly don’t read these important sources yet call yourself “history content”. They did not count consecutive years based on a deity or some long standing event. Did you think this inscription was adding tallies for each year? It’s literally just one inscription from one year. You might as well just pick up any rock on the ground that has an inscription on it that dates to 81 BCE and say that it’s “the year 2107”, because it’s just as arbitrary.
