this is why i say the WHOLE THING needs to be reworked. too many people are getting banned for practically nothing, and imo bans need to cap at a year, MAX. imo permabans are way too harsh of a punishment especially if you’ve spent tons and tons of money on this game. it’s practically robbery imo. and while we’re at it, go ahead and reverse the bans on EVERYONE banned for chat (at least) and let people weed themselves out again on a NEW system. and further, the system SHOULD NOT rely solely on ai and automated messages. if i submit an appeal for a suspension/ban, i expect to talk to a real person by AT LEAST the second attempt. not an endless stream of automated ai messages “disguised” as real people. @Blizzard_Ent @BlizzardCS

Blizzard just put up the white flag on selling loot in TBC. There's a russian guild on spineshatter selling ALL the loot, all raid the items in the Burning Crusade, for cash on a Discord server. They advertise it in-game. They stream it. They show the financial cash transactions on their stream and spreadsheets. but Blizzard's big action when they learned of this wasnt bans, it wasnt even a slap on the wrist. they just..removed their guild name so they have to make a new guild. Blizzard just signaled that you can sell whatever loot you want in this game, because they can't stomach losing 30 or 40 players worth of sub money. But now won't every guild in the game start selling loot for cash? Blizzard will never take action..unless ur a random guy getting auto banned for random reports. whats your take on loot selling and blizzards inaction?

Please help us bring attention to this. Overwatch’s ban and appeal system needs more transparency, not just for me, but for every player who could lose years of time, money, progress, and memories without receiving a clear explanation. My Overwatch account was permanently banned after a match was cancelled mid-game. My friend saw a “cheating detected” message, but the email I received referred generally to policies/conduct without clearly explaining the exact reason. I have never used cheats, did not throw or troll, and had voice/text chat disabled for weeks to avoid toxic interactions. I appealed twice, but the responses were still vague. How are players supposed to defend themselves without knowing exactly what they are accused of? The amount of replies saying the same thing happened to them is unacceptable. In his case, I think a friend of his isn’t being honest about their RMT, & unfortunately, he got the splash back of the ban from ‘dirty gold’. Still, people shouldn’t have to beg on here to be seen.

Their CS is so bad I'm genuinely surprised people still sub. The automatic bans after X amount of reports feature + their chatGPT CS is just embarrassing and unacceptable from a multi billion dollar company.
