@planert41 Make a bucket list for you and for your kids (so two lists). Get the list done before they move out of the house.
Spend money on experiences, not things. Your kids will get bored with trinkets (or lose them, or break them). Memories last longer and will give you comfort.
English

@planert41 Unsolicited advice:
Read to your children
Tell your kids you love them.

Dads with young kids
Is it normal to just feel tired and burnt out all the time?
It’s like you don’t even really get the weekend to recover because it’s all just kid stuff the moment you wake up
Arguably the only personal time you have is when they nap (and you’re already dead tired by that time) or the hour after they go to bed but before you pass out
Just trying to figure out if I’m doing something wrong
English

@planert41 Dedicate time for your kids and make memories. Even if it is something simple like doing chores around the house, involve your kids.
Find opportunities for your children to develop independence and problem solving skills.
English

@planert41 Find out what your children are interested in and be involved in their activities. Help children understand their talents and interests. This is particularly important for young men who can so easily drift into apathy/video games, etc.

No better way to kick off my account than sharing one of my favorite verses about the Savior. Mosiah 16:9 He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death.

@GuntherEagleman There’s an interesting explanation that might explain this.

The Rise of Cry Bullies Bret Weinstein reacts to a study presented by Heather Heying in Episode 311 of The Evolutionary Lens, which suggests that, unlike men, women tend to show empathy regardless of whether it is justified. “Everybody is competing for the claim of most victimized because that brings about the most power.”

🚨 Peak liberal brain rot caught on camera.
Man: “This petition is to stop deporting Jose Medina, who was charged with shooting and killing an 18-year-old girl.”
Woman in white: “Yes… I’ll sign.”
She then doubles down, saying we shouldn’t deport him just because “he wanted to kill somebody” and that we need to understand “why he did that.”
When asked if the victim did anything to deserve it, she replies: “I can’t judge any of them.”
Unbelievable.
She’s actively defending a murderer over an innocent 18-year-old girl.

The Boys is another example of the Hollywood left trying to villainize the right and make them look awful. Similar to what they attempted with the Starship Troopers movie. They have increasingly tried to make Homelander into Trump, with him flipping out over memes, comparing himself to Caesar, etc.
Where they failed is that everyone still likes him. Regardless of what he does, he still has fans. I know it drives the producers insane. It's little things like that, that make me happy.
