I hate that musicians and some politicians treat the Palestine/ Israel war as a football match where you have to choose sides. I’m ‘pro Palestine’ in that I want the Palestinians to be freed from Hamas and have their own state and live in peace with their neighbours. I think it’s an ‘unfair war’ because Hamas started a war knowing that its fighters would be hiding in tunnels while it could use the Gazan people as canon fodder - and unfair that civilians on both sides have been killed and unfair that Hamas is still holding onto hostages for nearly nine months. Would it be too much to ask that a single act also remembers that 400 young festival goers were killed, raped, abducted in October?

The lack of self-awareness shown by the Irish #eurovision contestant is 👀. She thinks the love, community and support shown by contestants to each other is 'what makes the change' - in a competition in which the contestants ganged up on one of their own and bullied her.

Ireland’s entrant threw a sweary tantrum after losing. The Lithuanian one seemed to blamed Israel after finishing 14th. These performers should be banned and their countries penalised for the lack of collegiate behaviour. Shocking. #Eurovision2024

@emteess I remember some years back the majority of juries gave Sweden 12 points - and from the public vote Sweden got a total of 30 points or something. For some reason Juries seem to have a similiar taste for their number ones.

You really have to ask what is the point of professional juries when the way they vote is so different to the public taste. Plus, given that they so uniformly swung to Switzerland despite its lack of popular support, was the jury vote rigged? Did they coordinate? #Eurovision2024
