Viasat 3 is in geosynchronous orbit. This large distance means a minimum of 1/4 second ping, and more typically 1/2 second.
So, while bulk data rate can be high, the very slow ping times mean it is NOT "fast" for typical the internet connection.

Fun Fact:
Windoze 7 works just fine unregistered (with a pop-up once in a while).
