Anyone used the NHS fleet solutions car lease scheme or similar? Our place are just about to put it out but cant get quote till April. Curious how much people are paying a month and if it's worth considering

@GdivReps Op Roll. Originally scoped on a rest day with more than 8 days notice - time and a half. However, was cancelled 3 days before but two hours later re-scoped for a new venue. Is this considered less than 8 days notice and thus suitable for double time?

@daIeevans Good to know - thanks for educating me. So talks will still continue irregardless of a ‘pay deal’?

@ScotC0p A multi year pay deal is not part of the staff side’s claim.

@ScotsPolFed Punched to the side of the head causing a cut, but didn’t meet the criteria because I didn’t go to the hospital. I just wanted to go home.

A Government scheme which pays compensation to victims of criminal injury is “far harder” for officers to access because violence is seen as part of their job 1919magazine.co.uk/may2025/cops-s…

@baseballscot Brilliant stuff. What’s the news on the Fraser of Allander review? Surely there’s some evidence to draw from there, along with ammunition.

@ScotC0p I did the work around the annual leave disparity and the evidence is solid. Id be very disappointed if we didnt make progress on the conditions.

‘RELENTLESS’ IS NOW LIVE! Police officers in Scotland face violent attacks, make split-second life-or-death decisions and carry the emotional weight of every call they respond to. This film tells the story the headlines don’t. They aren’t fictional scenarios – for many officers, they are a daily reality.  Watch and share to support those who protect us: spfrelentless.com #SPFRelentless #BehindTheBadge #SPFVoices #RealPoliceStories #PoliceScotland #KeepingPeopleSafe #YourPolice #SupportOurPolice

@grumpypleb In what way? Did your mate specify? I’m thinking about it myself. It’s hard to find the specifics on the nuances of policing and what’s better in comparison.

Spoke to a colleague who’s moved to Australian police. Wish I had made the move before kids came along & became trapped by pension. They’re so far ahead of us in terms of tech, investment, training, fleet, pay it’s embarrassing. Police Scotland is a disaster by comparison.

New petition doing the rounds: Make aggressive social media auditing a criminal offence: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7137… If anyone isn't familiar with the scourge that is auditing, then there's a description on this. Signatures and shares appreciated.

@MissGolfAlpha @west_response It’s scary how risk averse we are. I sympathise for my colleagues who made tactical contact (rightfully) with their vehicle - I’m sure that’ll pull them off the street for god knows what investigation.

This video circulating online is like the perfect scenario for what @west_response warns the Service and us Cops of time, after time, after time and still noone is listening. If it’s true firearms weren’t authorised and deployed to that then we truly are political cannon fodder.

@gmpolice offer car leasing scheme as apart of their employment. Has this benefit ever been discussed for PS out of interest? @GdivReps

@GDivCop Yeah I imagine it is. My thoughts that it’s a win win for both sides, a retention tool and a cost saving exercise for for the cops.

@ScotC0p A colleague asked about this over a year ago and was told already been put to PS but no timeline for decision or when it would be available if signed off. Quite far down in the list of priorities I appears

@GdivReps Perfect, thanks very much. Definitely a selling point for the private sector when seeking employment. Would be a great benefit to receive and for PS a retention tool? (Potentially?)

@ScotC0p Not that I’m aware of - however, I’m only in as a local rep for around 18 months or so. I’ll ask around, see what comes back. It may be that companies have approached PS, and we’re not aware.
