NYPD CHIEF AARON EDWARDS reacts to the viral photo of him jumping a barricade, jokes "imagine if I fell." "To me it was just instinct. I'm trying to get the bad guy." “I don't want that picture to be about me. I want it to be about the day, I want it to be about what we did.” “There's gonna be no obstacles, nothing's gonna stand in our way from protecting New Yorkers.”

Anonymity emboldens the behaviour seen at Ibrox yesterday. Between them, the Scottish Government and the Scottish FA must ban face coverings both in and around football stadiums in Scotland on match days on the grounds of safety and keeping the peace.

Pleased to see the jury make this decision. We need to have eyes wide open this is exactly why the Government wants to abolish juries. People protesting against a genocide are not the criminals here - it's the politicians who continue to provide cover. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

E-bikes, scrambler bikes and dirt bikes are a scourge on every town and city across Scotland, yet @PoliceScotland and @scotgov have neither the resources, procedures or appetite to deal with them. A danger to the public and no-one cares. It is disgraceful.

I’ve asked the Presiding Officer @scotparl why a motion supporting a proscribed terrorist organisation was permitted to be circulated to MSPs. Appears to be a clear breach of Parliamentary rules.

One of the Palestine Action prisoners on hunger strike, Qesser Zuhrah, has been hospitalised. She's lost 13% of her body weight. I am urging David Lammy, the Justice minister, to get engaged now as this is a developing emergency.

@potstew14 @ScotsPolFed That is a disgrace David, I hope your pal is ok. It amazes me that more good cops don’t just walk away. If the opportunity presented itself to me I don’t think I could resist it in the current climate.

Policing isn’t for everyone. One of our biggest missteps was promoting the idea that anyone can be a police officer. They can’t. This job is unlike any other, emotionally heavy, complex, demanding and often unforgiving.

Six police officers are being investigated after a man died during a mental health episode. Drew Kenney, who had a severe form of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and emotional personality disorder, died at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire on 26 March. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) started an investigation into Warwickshire Police and Leicestershire Police in relation to the contact both forces had with the 24-year-old before his death. Six officers from Warwickshire Police have now been served with notices of investigation in relation to allegations of gross misconduct, the IOPC said. The force did not comment when approached for a statement. Mr Kenney, from Earl Shilton in Leicestershire, was found by Warwickshire Police officers near a pub in Nuneaton and was taken to hospital. He later died after being placed in an induced coma following a cardiac arrest. A spokesperson for the IOPC said: "We continue to investigate the contact Warwickshire Police and Leicestershire Police had with Drew Kenney prior to his death on 26 March this year.” "Our investigation began following referrals from both forces in relation to Mr Kenney's death and a family complaint.” "The investigation is looking at the actions and decisions made by the officers in dealing with Mr Kenney during his detention and transport to and at hospital, including any use of force by them.” "We are also considering what information about Mr Kenney's condition was passed on by officers to hospital staff on arrival." They added: "The serving of notices does not necessarily indicate that disciplinary proceedings will follow." Link to the article: bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@NickBuckleyMBE Because there is no deterrent. The law is dreadfully weak and police are restricted to the point we soon won’t carry PPE as we will be nothing but social workers, appeasers and apologists
