For 40 years, the People’s Story has shared Edinburgh’s rich diverse working-class history with its residents and school pupils. The Scottish Labour History Society is alarmed to hear @Edinburgh_CC’s Culture and Communities Committee will vote on its closure this week. Pls share.

This evening, Jim Phillips delivered the second annual Ian MacDougall lecture on the role of oral history in the Scottish miners’ successful campaign for justice @natlibscot in Edinburgh. Former miners who were arrested and sacked during the 1984-5 strike were in the audience.
