A full circle moment today as I meet one of the doctors responsible for D’s care, in the Critical Care Unit where Derek died. I feel sick, a little scared to be going back. D always wanted to see things improving when they went wrong….today is part of that. #widowhood

Latest waiting list stats for Scotland reveal that by the end of June this year, there were still 6,831 ppl on inpatient/day case lists who had been waiting over 2 years - including 1,587 ppl who had been waiting over 3 years.

@Fionasstalker @BBCRadioScot The delay being reviewed by hospital specialists unfortunately puts more pressure on to #GP services & poor outcomes My Dad v sadly died as his hospital review appointments for his Crohn's was cancelled multiple times & as a result he developed complications & he died of sepsis

@Fionasstalker @BBCRadioScot I'm v fortunate to have a good GP but the hold-up is accessing hospital care I've Crohn's Disease for >30 years & I'm normally seen by hospital Consultant 2~4 times a year for review but I was referred to another Gastroenterologist & told waiting time is 76 weeks! #NHS #NHSCrisis

@bbcquestiontime ..My Dad died aged 65 from complications & #sepsis due to same condition as his hospital appointments were multiply cancelled by #NHS managers who cancel return patients in order to prioritise new patients as #NHS waiting times for 1st appointments measured but NOT returns #bbcqt

@bbcquestiontime ...I've multiple long-term conditions & also have a serious gastrointestinal condition for >35yrs & l'd usually be reviewed 2~4 times a year by #NHS #hospital consultant but concerningly currently been told it will be a minimum of 76 weeks before I'll next be reviewed... #bbcqt
