@ThemePark_Nerdo The fire was right at the area of the breaks. I expect that a bit of fluid of some sort came in contact with the hot surface.

@Quisp211 @DKEsquire The small area of fire appeared to be right on the surface of the brakes. It was bigger than just some paper. I expect a bit of oil or other liquid came in contact with the hot break surface.

@DKEsquire The Customer Service team members didn't initially think it was too serious. It was likely some oil or a small hydraulic fluid leak that can be quickly repaired and cleaned up.

@BiggieAtx They did, it just took a bit of time. Waited about 90 minutes and we would have been on the next train. At least everyone is safe and we have a story to tell.

@radiohouston Cast members were on it pretty quickly. The lead in this photo did great with the fire extinguisher. Some of the guests were briefly frightened but order was maintained and the cue was evacuated pretty quickly.

Tesla Insurance update With the latest version of Safety Score (v3.0), every mile you drive with FSD Supervised enabled will receive a score of 100. This allows you to maintain a higher average safety score over time, resulting in lower monthly insurance premiums. Applies to new policies in Indiana, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, Virginia & Illinois

@brxAgain @RonDeSantis The Trop is what you would get if the old Seattle Kingdome sunk on one end. Nothing says baseball like a ball hit off a catwalk...

@RonDeSantis Why do you think the Trop is so bad? It's what Florida needs - nice and cool, protected from Thunderstorms, and seats plenty while the population keeps growing..

No way. When you walk up and see the Green Monster it is a unique experience. Not everything needs to be a modern luxury. There is a charm to the place especially given all the history there.

@iamjesserichard @aelluswamy Actually Smart Summon (ASS) should use the same smarts as FSD/RoboTaxi, albeit in a super-sloth mode. It is definitely not doing this now. ASS still makes some dumb mistakes and has to be very carefully supervised.

The problem is that Tesla has treated FSD as both a vehicle option and as a software license. It was never clear which way it was headed. For example when a used Tesla with FSD is sold at a dealer ship it is often stripped of FSD and this is now always the case when buying used from Tesla. This greatly cuts into the resale the value. When Tesla started selling monthly subscriptions it was made clear that FSD was a software license and not part of the vehicle. Just like you don't need to buy new software when you replace a PC, you shouldn't have to repurchase FSD when you replace a vehicle.

The solution would have been to sell FSD as a software license and not a vehicle option. Once Tesla started allowing FSD transfers, I had hopes that they would go this route. Unfortunately, they did not. I've spent $23K on FSD since 2021 (2 vehicles). I had planned to purchase a CT but can't justify the cost if I have to pay for FSD again. @Tesla @elonmusk

Disappointing, and glad they’re offering order fee refunds for people that thought they could transfer FSD. But honestly based on how many people are complaining, FSD ownership does need to be sunsetted rather than kept around for years to come. People expect to be able to buy FSD once in 2016 and move it to a new car in 2026 that they will use well into the 2030s. I would love to do that as a customer, but it’s not a good business model for Tesla if they have to invest billions in training compute, engineering, validation, testing, legal liability, etc. This $60k variant is already selling at little to no margin. The only shot Tesla has at eventually making money on these units is FSD.

UPDATE: Last night, Tesla changed its FSD transfer policy (pic on left). You now have to take delivery by March 31, 2026 to be eligible. For people who placed an order before this policy change, including Cybertruck dual-motor AWD order holders: • If your delivery window is on or before March 31, 2026, or it gets pushed into April due to a delay caused by Tesla, the company will still honor FSD transfer. • Tesla will NOT honor FSD transfer if the initial delivery window was after March 31, 2026 when the order was placed. • If your order window is beyond March 31, 2026 or you end up not being able to take delivery by March 31, 2026, Tesla will offer you a refund of your $250 order fee. Before, Tesla's website said: "customers who place an order for a new Tesla vehicle by March 31, 2026 may qualify for transferring FSD (Supervised)." Not anymore. While Tesla always said directly on their FSD transfer website page that the "FSD transfer program is subject to change or end at any time," I’d still like to see Tesla give all $60k Cybertruck AWD orders made before last night’s policy change the option for FSD transfer at time of delivery. Many people placed an order because they thought they would be able to transfer FSD. I’ve deleted the post I made a couple days ago (pic on right) about Cybertruck AWD FSD transfers to avoid anyone seeing that post, but not this update, and mistakenly placing an order. While I did link to the terms page in the thread, I should have added in my first post Tesla’s exact disclaimer wording from the FSD transfer page: “The FSD (Supervised) Transfer Program is subject to change or end at any time." I’m really bummed out for the people who already ordered the $60k Cybertruck and wanted to transfer FSD, even though Tesla is offering order fee refunds. Keep in mind, Tesla can always decide to change the terms on this stuff at any time. People can reach out to any Tesla sales advisor with any questions. They will confirm this info.
