To my friends in America, even if Japanese people want to eat American beef, they can't buy it cheaply due to factors like exchange rates. Australia is Japan's largest beef importer. America, please send more beef to Japan. I understand American English, but I don't understand Australian English.

@TsuyotsuyoNeko I would say it’s not as good as you would think but I have a feeling many Americans would get mad at me for saying that.

@WatcherontheWeb Americans care about honor more than outward appearances of our culture portrays. American pop culture does not care about honor - but Americans do. Japan culture cares about honor and integrity like Americans do. I believe that is our connection.

Dear new Japanese friends... May I beg an explanation of something of you? I'm sure the answer is different for everyone... but... WHY do you like us? Many places we have gone to war with, and even some of the ones we have gone to war to save... seem to hate us But our nations engaged in some of what is arguably the most horrific warfare in human history to that date, and it's not like you got space away from us or our culture afterwards to gain peace over it why don't you hate us like the Germans do? Or the french? or on most days, half of the British? I'm VERY happy about it, and grateful, but I have always wondered what the difference is I know much of it for us is "We had a problem, we settled it, now there's not a problem"... kind of the "2 dudes fight on the playground and end up best friends" thing

@sakegorilla Japanese sake is incredible. My favorite are the ones that are not sweet and very dry. Honestly, I tend to like the cheaper Sake better than the expensive Sake I have tried. I am not a Sake expert - but I know I like it. Omikase plus Sake is bliss.

Dear Americans, If you’re throwing a BBQ, you need sake too, don’t you? I love beer—absolutely love it—but if we’re going to share food and good times, I want you to know Japanese sake too. Sake is made from rice and koji, through fermentation.

@HonestlyimNat @hiramen_x @uncledoomer American who just got back from Italy.. I visited touristy parts and non touristy rural areas.. and I would say the American approximation of Italian food is fairly accurate. There is pizza and pasta everywhere in Italy and they are always eating it. Their pasta is from scratch.

@hiramen_x @uncledoomer Most Americans understand that our sushi rolls are very different from Japanese sushi. Just like our Mexican food and Italian food are different than in Mexico and Italy. And the American food at Japanese restaurants is nothing like real American food too.

@hiramen_x @uncledoomer This translation may be a bit off.. but I am assuming it is normal in Japan to demand a chef to commit ritual suicide if they were to serve sushi with a ton of sauce dumped on top?

@Maelzel_opening We start with light basic beer.. Usually Miller Lite, Coors Light, or Bud Light.. from an icy cooler - the colder the better.. then the guys start sipping whiskey and light cigars by an outdoor fire as the girls go inside and switch to wine. Not all Americans.. but common for me.

@magicmike278 @RonDeSantis True Floridians love a basement considering we don't often get to see them. Also, the 2nd generation will fill out the lower bowl. The 3rd (my kids kids) will fill the upper bowl. Just give it time for the fanbase to build.

@Sjmbtwq @pirooooon3 @KevinCasperWid The Japanese culture is fascinating. I love how honor is one of the highest priorities. I love how everything - even the mundane - is taken very seriously. Make a sandwich in America.. slap it together; make a sandwich in Japan and you must have 7 years of slicing bread first.

@RaysTheRoofTB Here's an idea.. Reusable beer mug.. It's big and glass and you can deposit it around the stadium and get a frosted one with beer in it. If you break it, you need to buy a new one for $99. You can take it home or deposit it and the app keeps track of that.

@Watchman_motto From what I've seen, old people hate trees, plants, and nature. I get asked when I am going to take down the only oak tree on my property multiple times a year.

I share about 100 yards of drive way with my ~70yr old neighbors. For some reason he’s obsessed with knocking down the center grass in the middle of the tire ruts and covering it with gravel. He talks about it all the time, probably 30% of all conversations I have with him are about this. He’s asking if I want to pitch in for more gravel, etc. When I put my parents in a guest house behind the barn, my dad started talking about it too. He got some roundup and sprayed his section of road. Am I missing something here? I see no problem with it. It looks fine. It occupies 0% of my mind. I’m prepared to spend 0 dollars to remedy this “problem” What is happening?

@RonDeSantis Having only been to Wrigley and SanFran of those, why are they better? Wrigley has history - but it is very small. SanFran has a pretty view but cramped main halls. You can move around the Trop quickly even with big playoff crowds. What does the Trop need? Can it be salvaged?

I don’t think the Trop is “so bad.” But it is not in the same class as Fenway, PNC, Wrigley, SanFran or Camden Yards, as well as others like Petco, old Yankee Stadium, etc.
Brandon Johnson@brxAgain

@RonDeSantis Why do you think the Trop is so bad? It's what Florida needs - nice and cool, protected from Thunderstorms, and seats plenty while the population keeps growing..
