The cost of government borrowing for 30 years has just hit 5.6%, compared to the worst one day spike to 4.8% under Truss. Rachel Reeves said that rate had crashed the economy. Oh dear, what has the Chancellor done?

@LawyerStocks @saylordocs @grok Is now a good time to buy ? Or should I wait until it maybe crashes more and buy it cheaper ? I’m asking as a beginner, I’ve got no experience in this kind of thing.

🚨 MAX VERSTAPPEN EXIT SPECULATION HEATS UP 👉 His open disdain for F1's future rules and sprint format has sparked serious talk of a walkout. The dominant champion's potential departure poses a MAJOR THREAT to the sport's stability.

@bobizgrate @boxinglyf @FergusCraig As for my reply to that guy who commented about there being a Greggs selling sausage rolls in Whitechapel....I just thought that was a generally stupid argument.

@ScottThom01 @boxinglyf @FergusCraig I am saying there are lots of areas of London with much lower Muslim populations than Whitechapel, which itself can't seriously be called "Islamist". If there weren't, you wouldn't have mentioned it.

@bobizgrate @boxinglyf @FergusCraig It's not an Islam-ist area in the sense that I don't think the area itself is Islamist en masse. The point I was making with my original comment is that walking through a place like Whitehchapel could be the reason why someone like that American thought that London was Islamist.

@ScottThom01 @boxinglyf @FergusCraig Yes it has a higher population than other areas but a) you can't say it is "Islamist" which was the original point and b) the very fact you cite it is proof there are plenty of areas with a much lower Muslim population.

@LDNRom @FergusCraig Ok seems like you just want to repeat yourself now so I think I'm done with you. Demographics of the area has marginally changed in the last few years, but there'll be a ceiling to that. You saying don't whine about past demographic changes kind of sums you up.

@ScottThom01 @FergusCraig People like Lewis move to east London these days. They weren't doing this 20 years ago. So picking now as the time to say 'well go to Whitechapel then' just seems out of date and silly. You still whinge as these areas get whiter. It seems you just want to whinge. Life's too short

@LDNRom @FergusCraig Oh my god, you really are a dimwit. I’ve already said in this thread that mass immigration and rapid demographic change uprooted people from East Ldn. I’ve already spoken about the speed and scale which affected real people in real time. There isn't anything that can be changed.

@ScottThom01 @FergusCraig I literally said I brought up gentrification already. What change? This entire time, all I've been trying to get out of you is which changes are bad, and which are good. Why won't you say?

@LDNRom @FergusCraig Answer my question first, because you still haven't. Who brought up gentrification? And why did you change your argument half way through ?

@LDNRom @FergusCraig No you haven't asked the same questions, you've tried to change the conversation, and on top of that you don't have a clue what you've actually said previously. So genuinely what's the point of carrying on talking to you?

@ScottThom01 @FergusCraig I've been asking you these same questions for about an hour. Given that your whole argument is about pace of change, these are questions you should be able to answer. So please, tell us.

@LDNRom @FergusCraig Is there any point to contiuing this? What vision are you on about? I don't have a VISION for East London, I accept the area has changed permanently due to mass immigration from the preivous decades despite some gentrification. You're just constantly repeating 'don't whinge'.

@ScottThom01 @FergusCraig Just tell us what you want. Which changes are bad? Which changes are good? Which changes are you indifferent about? Why are these impossible questions for you to answer?

@LDNRom @FergusCraig Ok I'm CONVINCED you're doing it on purpose now.....show me the comment where I said gentrification is part of that rapid change ? We were talking about 2 different things
