Unless I missed it, Trump did not say one word about freedom, liberty, democracy, or the rule of law during his two day visit to autocratic China. He didn’t meet with any students, or civil society folks, religious leaders, or private entrepreneurs. Oh well. That’s how he rolls.

Thomas you listed nothing he lost in the China summit. I can tell you he got them on the record saying they want to buy oil from us, Iran can’t have nukes. He kept his blockade (even as soon it will close teapot refineries) and changed nothing on Taiwan policy. Your tone policing of a win you don’t understand is a public beclowning of yourself. Sad.

Calling Trump “weak” while he openly challenged China on trade, tariffs, manufacturing, technology theft, and energy dependence is laughable. For decades, polished career politicians smiled for photo ops in Beijing while America lost factories, supply chains, leverage, and trillions in trade imbalance. THAT was weakness disguised as diplomacy. What critics call “amateurism” was often simply refusing to play by the scripted globalist playbook that sold out American workers for years. The real reason people are still furious is because Trump disrupted a system the political class and media had normalized for decades.
