@Acyn Only democrats do the “he’s next” routine. Republicans pick their candidates during the primary. We don’t allow the elite to hand pick our nominee. Trump gave a powerful answer to the question.

@tjzukoski @RealCJ10 It’s interesting to me that these are the players brought up as comps to AJ. Both players less than 50 WAR while AJ is 62+. Is WAR the end all be all? No. But it’s a simple tool to measure with and it’s shows AJ as superior.

@IngrahamAngle I’ve had the same concerns Laura. But Trump is calling it a joint venture with the US, so an American company with better government oversight would be the goal, right? Otherwise, we’re Russia or Cuba or Venezuela, controlling free speech instead of encouraging it

Folks see LA as the competition. They’ve loaded up and we haven’t. It’s understandable to be leery, even if it’s unrealistic that we’d keep up.

@Psych0m0j0 @dieworkwear I live in Georgia, USA so I get the heat/humidity thing. I wear chinos and button downs almost all year, even at my son’s summer baseball games. The fit is hugely important. Gotta keep it loose. I think the idea of draping is key. Let the air flow.

@dieworkwear I respect your style and advice massively, but it's 90f or more where I live for like 4 months a year, and I'm walking places, and ANY double layer/long sleeve/collar makes heat MUCH worse. If this guy's question is like mine, the only usable answer here was, "twisty t shirt"

But OK, if all that feels a step too far for you right now, at least consider some basic things around fit, like getting button-up shirts with longer collar points and no pulling at the placket. Get pants that aren't super low rise and suction fit.

@miselaineous13 @DougBillings Ah yes. Some of my favorite Bible passages are from Galatians where is says the fruit of the Spirit is stable prices, plentiful gas, and being a strongman. I love the verses in the NT where Jesus defends the Jewish Pharisees and condemning those who spoke against them.

But some will still say the Carter was a good Christian. Jesus said we can delineate trees by their fruit. Jimmy Carter’s presidency was marked by staggering inflation, gas lines , embarrassment on the global stage and failure to protect Americans . As a private citizen, he spoke against Israel and sided with terrorists. That’s a strange thing for a Christian to do, given the Biblical promise of blessing those who bless Israel and cursing those who curse Israel. The song ‘ Imagine’ was fitting for Carter.

I watched President Carter’s public funeral service the other day. I do believe he was a decent human being. My question is: Why would a Christian or Christian church want or allow the song, “Imagine” to be performed at a funeral or within the sanctuary? The song is one of the most anti-Christian and, quite frankly, most depressing songs ever written. It is a WOKE song before WOKE was known. I know one thing for certain: It would never be allowed in a Catholic Church. Do any of you agree with me about my assessment of the song?

@MattSedlar @DeanBaker13 I fully believe that climate change is real and needs to be addressed. However, the snow we’re seeing in the south, and Georgia where I live, was at least a yearly occurrence in the 90s and early 00s. The lack of snow over the last 10 years is the outlier.

Not just wildfires, the snow storms in the Deep South (more moisture in the atmosphere creates more storms), the sinking land and sea level rise threatening coastal communities in states like Louisiana and Virginia … I can give hundreds of examples. This is real and happening

@RepMikeCollins Can’t say I’ve ever been more disappointed in a statement from my representative. The presence of these “peaceful” protestors added to the power of the violent ones. “Peaceful” or not, these people broke the law, they knew better, and there are consequences. So disappointed.

On #ThisDayInHistory in 2021, thousands of peaceful grandmothers gathered in Washington, D.C., to take a self-guided, albeit unauthorized, tour of the U.S. Capitol building. Earlier that day, President Trump held a rally, where supporters walked to the Capitol to peacefully protest the certification of the 2020 election. During this time, some individuals entered the Capitol, took photos, and explored the building before leaving. Since then, hundreds of peaceful protestors have been hunted down, arrested, held in solitary confinement, and treated unjustly. Countless hours and taxpayer dollars have been spent pursuing innocent grandmothers and raiding President Trump’s home, while terrorists and millions of illegal immigrants continue to cross our nation’s borders, causing havoc in our communities. Thankfully, President Trump has announced that, on day one of his presidency, he will grant pardons to nonviolent defendants.

@RachelBitecofer @CFBPlayoff I don’t know, as a UGA fan I think the break was more beneficial than hurtful. We just aren’t a great team. I didn’t watch the other games, maybe it impacted them more but UGA not so much. Could see it being helpful to keep playing but also risky (ie UGA at the SEC championship).
