@DxnCity It not interfering with play running towards ball with defender in possession. You've got to clearly attempt to play the ball while the ball is **close** - Barry wasn't close to ball in this case.

I still don't understand how they gave their equaliser btw. The very fact he was offside and going for the ball should have been the point the flag is raised and meant guehi had to intercept. This delaying the flag rule is the only reason play carried on.

@blartyyy @afneil Repeating Trump's rhetoric. Promised he wasn't going to continue it. Gas prices gone from $3 to $4.50/gallon in USA. Prices are already projected to rise further. Any continuation of hostilities/blockage of Strait will see prices rise further - electorally catastrophic for Trump.

@ScratchyWalesUK @afneil It’s frankly bizarre how you can think that this incredibly short sharp conflict qualifies as a never ending war. Unless Iran capitulates, the US will attack again. Why wouldn’t they? Nothing to lose at this point.

Six months out from November’s midterms and President Trump scores his worst approval ratings ever: Overall, 37% approve, 62% disapprove of his second-term record. On his handling of the Cost of Living, only 23% approve, 76% disapprove. On Inflation it’s 27% v 72% disapproval. On the economy overall it’s 34% approve, 65% disapprove. On Trump’s War with Iran, 66% disapprove, 33% approve. There’s no way back from these dire ratings before November — and the longer the Strait of Hormuz remains closed the worse his approval ratings will get. An entirely self-inflicted albatross. Source: Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll April 24-28, 2026, among 2,560 U.S. adults with an error margin of +/- 2 percentage points.

@justin_ryland @DottyBoo2 @Glinner If he has overwhelming lost support of back bench MP's there is only one direction this is going, if on the back of poor election result's & NEC saying they would no longer block Burnham - as an indicator of direction it is going rather than likelihood of him replacing Starmer.

@ScratchyWalesUK @DottyBoo2 @Glinner Labour doesn't have the same removal mechanism for Starmer that the Tories had in place for their PMs. Starmer will be PM until he gets vanquished at the next GE in 2029.

@DottyBoo2 @Glinner Will be kicked out as Tory leader after local/devolved elections. Polling worse than Labour. Starmer will also be removed by Labour MP's as PM/leader. Neither are connecting with public, generally. Reform mopping up 'divisive' vote. Not clever politics competing for that vote.

@Glinner She really impresses me. She speaks intelligently but also in a straightforward way. She has put her head above the parapet on antisemitism and identity politics. She doesn't fudge. I really like her My leftie friend visibly recoiled when I said that I think Kemi is badass.

@Nigel_Farage Detention centres usually situated near to airport hubs - for obvious reasons. These have high concentration of "left behind", Reform demographic type of voters. It is highly unlikely these centres would be relocated to city areas that attract green vote demographic further away.

If you vote Reform you will not have an illegal migrant deportation facility in your area. We will hold migrants awaiting deportation in constituencies that vote Green instead. You get what you vote for.

@zarahsultana @AngelEyes865 Pro Palestinehate marchers should be banned, jailed and deported. They all want to destroy the west, they all want to implement sharia laws, they are all as racist as Hitler. Remigration is now the only way forward to deal with this racist scum and all that support them..

@zarahsultana Just as concerning is that Mark Rowley has been so careful with language/rhetoric in past. So many dubious statements or mis/disinformation been made by him over last couple of days - has warned against spreading of this online. What is the motivation behind this @metpoliceuk

@blartyyy @afneil Mid Terms elections are in Nov. USA public are against never ending wars generally. Very unlikely that USA will reattack Iran between now & then, now, on top of stock pile issues, will reduce even further if lose House. That is the realities.

@ScratchyWalesUK @afneil You don’t seem to understand the realities. The US discovering now that they have insufficient war stocks for a big conflict is a great thing. They’ve got time to build up the inventory and more importantly the manufacturing capability. This is a huge win.

@afneil I disagree. The ONLY way back for him is now to extend the war until he conclusively wins. Hormuz open, Nukes gone, regime gone. That’s the only conclusion which will be considered worth the cost in the minds of the public. Leaving now makes it all worthless.

@DJBrabrook @AllisonPearson @WelshLabour Kent was staunch Conservative region until recently. Tectonic shift towards Reform. Although due to their, seemingly, calamitous running of Kent Council, sentiment changing quickly? Greens won a recent by-election there in Cliftonville rising from 4th place in previous election.

@AllisonPearson Well I'm seeing lots of reform posters and signs outside houses here in South Wales this place used to be dyed in the wool @WelshLabour it's not anymore, I think the electorate have woken up to the fact that they have had ¼+ century in power and things are worse not better

@AllisonPearson Although you have suspended support for Conservative Party, noticed you have not mentioned them who are predicted to have a bigger kicking even than Labour. May not be of concern to you however. Surely, putting all your faith in Reform, if that is your position, does have dangers

Trevor Phillips just DESTROYED Zack Polanski on national TV. This is the first time I've seen an interviewer PROPERLY hold an extreme, far-left politician to account. In a normal world this would permanently end his political career. Utterly DAMNING for Polanski. 🔥

@policylaila Al-Quds is equivalent meaning of Jerusalem in Arabic. Being of Egypian obstraction probably knew that already. There are many other organisations that also carry the Al-Quds/Jerusalem name which should be/are banned from participating in a march like this. Attempt at conflation?

Heidi Alexander told LBC the Home Secretary banned the Al-Quds march this year. That is a lie. It went ahead. They allowed IRGC propaganda, people who want death to Jews and to the West to march on our streets. Knowing that fuelled terror against our Jewish community, they now falsely claim they acted, they didn’t.

@BareReality This woman literally wrote a book called 'The new world of manipulation & how to resist'. Ms Dodsworth, not sure what it says in your book, but I'm following the sentiment, of the title, of your book anyway & trying to resist your apparent manipulation.

@ElieKabylski @academic_la @BareReality Just investigated that. The common colours associated with Tallit are white & blue OR black. The lost blue die associated with fabled chilazon creature was Sky Blue. The darker blue colour of the Israeli flag is associated with Israeli State adopted in a 1950 directive.

@academic_la @BareReality How dare the people conflate the actions of Israeli State with British Jews seems to common rhetoric going around at moment - that's antisemitic! Then Ms Dodsworth posts this which tries to conflate British Jews with Israeli State. Make it make sense.

@Colin00007 @_DaveTalbot Despite my increasing contempt of Starmer, still considering voting for Labour in Senedd elections, although was thinking of voting Plaid (no real affinity with them either). Motive is tactically influenced to stop Reform getting 6th seat in my constituency (already guaranteed 2)

I welcome a period of silence from Andy Burnham as we enter the final week of campaigning. Thousands of colleagues are working tirelessly to defend hard-won Labour seats. This relentless, idle leadership speculation is damaging to both Labour and the heir/heiress’ apparent.
Jessica Elgot@jessicaelgot

EXC - Andy Burnham has a credible plan to return to Westminster “within weeks”, allies say. He is expected to use a byelection fight to set out an agenda for government. His allies will ask Starmer to set a timetable for departure - and to potentially stay as Foreign Secretary
