Today, Minister @PrabSarkaria and I called on the federal government to support the expansion of Highways 11 and 17. As part of the Trans‑Canada network, this vital transportation corridor connects the North, Ontario, and the entire country to support Canada’s economic security and defence readiness. Ontario continues to make significant investments and advance work to improve and widen these critical arteries. Now, we are asking the federal government to help accelerate this project of national significance with serious funding and by removing duplicative federal review processes. This is about partnership, nation‑building, and strengthening the sovereignty of Canada.
