@bernardooooV3 Look you can knock us for bottle, lack of success, mentality winning culture etc. But just own up to your financial asterisk. It’s the one thing you cannot rebut. Own up to the fact you are backed by an oil state, you bought your success, and insane spending that noone can match.

Sign Ben White for £50m. Didn’t work? Go and drop £60m on Timber. Sign Calafiori for £50m. Didn’t work? Go and drop £60m on Hincapie. Sign Ramsdale for £30m. Is he too dumb? Go and drop £40m on Raya (in the last year of his contract). Sign Rice for £105m. He can’t pass? Here is £60m on Zubimendi. Is he dumb too? Here is £70m to replace him. Sign Jesus for £45m. Didn’t work? Go and drop £70m on Havertz. Didn’t work? Go and drop £70m on Gyokeres. Didn’t work? Here is another £80m for the next shiny toy. Sign Madueke for £50m. Didn’t work? Go and drop £80m on Gordon or Leao. Sign Eze for £70m. Didn’t work? Here is another £70m to replace him. No trophies to show for all this money spent? No worries, let’s just blame Manchester City for spending.
The Football Era@FootballEra_

They signed Nico Gonzalez for £65m in 2025 January window just because Rodri got injured, he wasn’t good enough, and they binned him. They signed Reijnders last summer for £70m, used him for a few games, he wasn’t good enough, they binned him instantly. Now they’re about to sign Elliot Anderson for £100m. That’s close to £250m spent on a single position in the space of a year, no other club has that kind of financial luxury. This is what Arsenal are up against, financial cheats with endless pool of blood money. All their trophies are asterisked in my eyes.

Man City are building a new force. If they win the Premier League and Pep Guardiola remains for a longer time, the entire league stays in soup. He will dominate for as long as his hunger for success permits.

@raducrisanx I agree you’re in a rebuild, I agree the pressure isn’t really on you. But mentioning “the club spending 1 bil” is perhaps the most tone deaf thing I’ve seen from any supporter.

I think a lot of people struggle to grasp the reality of the situation regarding City and Arsenal. City are in a rebuild. The pressure isn't on us to deliver anything. In fact we've already delivered a trophy this season. It's all on the club spending 1 bil for nothing.

Bottle the league, I will take it, lose the UCL semi, I will take it, where I will absolutely lose my mind is when we try to sign another player from Chelsea in the summer.

@MusialaEra I keep seeing people telling Arsenal fans to be humble, but no one thought we had the league wrapped up. We were all shitting ourselves.

I hope Arsenal fans will learn from this in the future. Nothing is won in the first half of the season. Some teams simply peak later. Some fall off later. Sometimes, teams even start to clock your game/tactics in the 2nd half of the season. Everything changes. Be humble

@City_Chief the only season you could argue we 'bottled' was 22/23 and that was simply because we were too young and inexperienced and noone expected us to finish anywhere near top. 23/24 we were simply pipped by the better team. 24/25 we were not in a title race.

All the pressure is on Arsenal. 3 seasons, 3 bottling jobs. 🍼 This is their moment… or another collapse? City? Transition phase - still building. 💙🔥

@Alarsenalnews_ The concern is the performances. We don’t look like we can go on a run necessary to get over the line. Hope I’m wrong.

@TheArsenalLife There were actually a lot of fans that wanted us to lose the Europa league final if it meant spurs losing the champions league final, so that’s not entirely honest.

If you don’t want Arsenal winning the league, fair enough. That’s rivalry. Nobody expects you to root for the opposition. But actively wanting your own team to lose, especially when you’re still fighting for Champions League spots? That’s not rivalry, that’s a weak mentality. Say all you want about Arsenal, but you’ll never catch this fanbase hoping their own club loses. The standard is to win. Always. It says a lot about a fanbase when they’d rather see someone else fail than see their own club succeed. And it actually harms your club too. That kind of energy seeps in. Players feel it, confidence drops, and suddenly you’re not pushing for results, you’re accepting failure. That mindset doesn’t just stay in the stands. It shows on the pitch. Props to City for battering Chelsea at home 🤝

@City_Xtra @SkySportsPL “If we win it’s in our hands”. But that’s just not true is it. I agree if city win they most likely go on and win it. But if city win every game 1-0 and we win ours the same but beat burnley 6-0 for example, we win it.

#ManCity vs Arsenal is Premier League title deciding, says Jeremy Doku. Doku: "If you win this game, it's a big punch towards them. If you lose this game, it's in their hands. If we win, it's in our hands, and I prefer to have it in our hands..." [via @SkySportsPL]

@vespreken This is true. That’s why I’m not sure where I’m at with him. Getting over the line is something that needs to happen somehow with him or another manager. But he has absolutely changed the culture, standards and accountability at the club.

@jamesbenge It’s difficult to imagine a turn around when we have seen this happen many many times before. The worry isn’t just results though, it’s performances. We seem to have completely forgotten how to play football.

@MXVonXM @Only1tommo It’s up to the manager to instill confidence and belief. Yes obviously the players have a major part in it but the manager is a crucial cog.

@Only1tommo Once those players step into the pitch it’s on them. He’s picked the team, can substitute and shout his head off but those fellas on the pitch win and lose the game. Arteta has got us to these incredible positions. It’s the players letting us down.

Obviously if we draw next week, it’s still in our hands as we’ll be three points ahead even if City win their game in hand. However, Mikel Arteta has to go for the win. He simply has to go for it.
