A state coup happened when Lenin overthrew the tsarist government and made Russia communist — as a result of an illegal seizure of power, the USSR was created. And now — when exactly did a state coup happen in Ukraine? When the President of Ukraine fled, having betrayed Ukraine, and the parliament, which constitutionally holds 50% of power alongside the president, gave him time to return and only then announced new presidential elections, which were recognized by the entire world? Or when the people have power over presidents and have the right to protest? Or maybe dictatorships have never heard that the people can hold power? People went out to Maidan because they wanted to live in a free, European country, not in a protectorate of a decaying Russia. And that is exactly when Russia attacked. It was not the US that attacked us. It was not NATO. It was not the EU. It was not Australia or anyone else. Russia attacked us. At that time, there were no talks about NATO. At that time, we did not even have a president yet. That was the beginning of the war. Who, if not Russia, organized it? Especially since Putin himself, in the propaganda film “Crimea. The Way Home”, explicitly stated that Russia had been preparing an attack on Ukraine since 2008, and that when Yanukovych fled, he realized that “the time had come.” In the same film, he described how he ordered Russian soldiers to hide behind women and children as a human shield, so that no Ukrainian soldier would dare to shoot. This film was already called in 2014 a confession for The Hague. And now Putin believes that the West consists of idiots on the level of Russians who might believe this nonsense. You know what? The West is partly to blame — for allowing itself to be manipulated by Putin, for financing his terrorist machine, and for continuing to finance it even now, while letting him manipulate narratives about NATO and everything else. This is not just cynicism. This is psychopathy — not even at a state level, but at a federal one, because Russia has never had real statehood. Russia is a “union” of occupied states — this is literally written in the Russian Constitution. The Russian state does not exist. What exists is the Russian Federation, where Buryats have their own state, Chechens have their own state — even if occupied and without real governments, on paper these states exist. But Russians themselves do not have their own state. And perhaps it is precisely because of these complexes that Russia spews such nonsense. Because of these complexes it steals history and lies. Because of fear it wages wars. But Russia could have simply built its own state and developed it. Instead, it lives in ruins and only spreads these ruins outward. Isn’t that psychopathy?
