The #seahawks have picked up the Fifth-Year Option on Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Devon Witherspoon.
They will need to deposit $45m in escrow immediately as these deals are fully guaranteed.
This was not necessary until May 1.

@carso0onnn Agree. And that's why i think it will end up full circle with us drafting McDonald : adding a stud true NT would allow us to move our DL in a lot of different ways than we use to, plus the possibility to use Bear/Nickel Bear at will. And finally : Leo is 32 years old.

@SeahawksFRA My big worry about Pregnon is age; he’ll miss the 24yo jump that guards typically take in the league. Lot of older guards come into the league stagnant as a result.

John Schneider today talked indirectly at fans who are grumping about the #Seahawks muted free agency this year.
He brought up Charles Cross re-signing in January (4y, $104m): "That’s part of free agency as well. Joey Laine worked his tail off on that deal for several weeks.”
